>mom can barely remember her passwords
>has 40 of them
>writes them all down on paper

still better than using a txt file

Your mom is based. I'm highly skeptical of the security of passwords one can remember off the top of their head.
Not to assume your mom's passwords are secure, though. What's based is using analog assistance instead of cucking to a text file or password manager

it's her name + portions of her phone number

>"use a password manager" t. me
>"uh huh"
>doesn't use a password manager
>doesn't write passwords down
>forgets passwords
Life is suffering.

>use one extremely secure password for my email and shopping accounts
>use another for my bank accounts
>use one simple password for all my garbage accounts

>forget my password and can't type it out on mobile
>sit down at a keyboard and mimic the finger movements
>figure it out shortly after that
Thanks, muscle memory.

>don't know any of my per-site/service generated passwords, only where to find them

Very weak.

Okay

I have around 40+ passwords. The trick is to memorize one string and a delineator, and then have an identifier for your account.

Let's say for instance
QbZiF4G&jewtube

It's got the strength of a normal password and allows you make multiple passwords just by changing the identifier.

So basically just a random string and a delineator

>Mom forked the project

i always encrypt my pass in rot5, then i copy the result and use it as my pass

Technically the & is just the delineator but yeah. It works. You essentially remember one password and then append whatever scheme of identifier is easiest for you to remember. I like using the first word of the website and single number.

>using passwords
password managers are botnets, cia and interrogate you and steal your shit.

the based way to deal with passwords is to randomly generate a new password every time you use the site and not save it anywhere, then use account recovery to log in

Even more based

Use a standard pattern plus the name of the service.
