Imagine not being able to add drives to your pool in 2019.

shig

last time I used btrfs it didn't handle a hard shutdown well. I just used ext4 ever since and it never gave me issues

>literally just lvm the filesystem
lmaoing at your life and shitty decisions

>best filesystem
You're using HAMMER too?

still waiting for encryption
also, why doesn't regular Ryzen support ECC?

>still waiting for encryption
what's wrong with dm-crypt loopback devices? That was like one of the first things they fixed about btrfs, it's worked on top of those since 3.2

>why doesn't regular Ryzen support ECC?
The CPU does but the motherboard has to support it also. I think only Asrock bothered doing that with one or two boards, the usual workstation folks like Supermicro haven't even made a Ryzen board to my knowledge.

Post picture of btrfs logo.
Says best file system.

Dude, make up your mind: pick one.

what's wrong with lvm?

Sell it to me. Why would I use Btffs if I'm happy with the file system I use now?

> with one or two boards
Haven't looked much, but it seems ECC is supported for every ASRock board which advertises support for Summit Ridge.

bait, but I'll take it

It's called "butter"fs because your data melts away.

Ext2 is all you will ever need.

>Btrfs
looks like complety shit

> He's not using systemd-mount

Attached: systemd-mount.jpg (500x530, 69K)

I'm using btrfs, but that's not the best file system.
That would be bcachefs.

systemd-mount literally evaluates fstab

SYSTEMD BTFO

>bcachefs
heard about that one some years ago
what's it up to now?

>can't create a swap file
>deleting a file does not free up space in df unless you run a special btrfs command

Not quite there yet, hence why I'm using btrfs. But it's really promising.

>not using πfs

The perfect file system doesn't exis-
Oh wait. It really doesn't.

I'm using ext4 for everything atm
redpill me on btrfs
