You must be very young then.

C64 for a short period of time then A500 for most of my childhood.
My third computer was 16k variant of pic related
First and second actually belonged to someone else
An old 286 like this.
youtube.com
>so many amigas
is it because it's EU time on the board currently?
It was an Acer Aspire 5100. What a piece of shit. The AMD Turion MK-36 was hot garbage, and so was the ATI GPU.
Probably.
My first was a VIC-20 and was gifted an Apple //e.
after that: C64 - Amiga500 - pc's from here on.

I don't remember, because I owned my first computer long before I ever understood them. Windows 3.1 ftw
>was gifted an Apple
was given an Apple
You don't "run" the internet..
I've got an old HP laptop here, Pentium M 1.73GHz. That's Pentium III based and internet works just fine, even YouTube 480p with a few stutters once in a while.
Commodore 64. My first PC was some Packard Bell.
American English website.
>American English website.
nah, plenty of pretentious americans use gift as a verb. I never heard it until long after I was an adult; I wonder if I had grown up hearing it would it still make me gag.
vic 20
c64
amiga 500 that was a buggy piece of shit that never worked
PC-AT that just worked
pentium 3 with xp
i broke it countless times and had to fix it myself so my parents don't find out. they wouldn't care anyway since it was donated to use but i'd still feel bad.

Samsung nc110. Lots of comfy hours spent programming in Pascal while listening to Gregorian Chants.
The only component I remember it had was an amd k6
DreamWriter
c64
Compaq presario. Came with win 3. Now that was a gaming rig *sip*
8 y/o zoomers
apple //e

emachines DT
Boy those things sure struggled with Runescape as I recall
i had some thick ass toshiba with win3.1 from my dad's company after they started to upgrade. had a cd drive and and almost a gig of storage. it could run half life but it looked awful and would get so hot it could actually scald you.
why are there so many boomers here
Compaq Presario (Possibly c700).
That case is fucking awesome.
Pentium III 450 MHz, 128 MB RAM, 8GB HDD.
Sometimes I miss it.
P133, 32MB, S3 Trio 2MB, 1.6GB drive, Win98, some Russian monitor that overheated like Balrog's throat
p3 > p4
familys first comp was apple IIe
my first comp was apple LCII
Holy shit, RS2 on something like that must have been painful
MSX Expert DDPLUS.
No idea. I was literally too young to understand what a brand was. It was just an old Windows 98 clunker my dad set up for me so I could fuck around in MS Paint.
I had this.
Glad I didn't get too attached to it lole
Somehow forgot image
Exactly the model idk, a 15" vista hp laptop.
some Aldi trash
After the kino design of the G3 this was such a POS
An old Wang.
Because fuck you
IBM T20.
My dad couldn't afford a Pentium M or Core Duo laptop at the time.
Hey, I didn't say I LIKED having an emac as my first computer
some windows 98 white box
>//e
>Mac
r u fucking retarded?
My grandfather's old 386. Dunno what specific model. I only remember it was a rather tall tower.
>comparing PowerPC Macs to x86 Macs
fuck off idiot
A monochromatic Compaq Presario with Windows 3.1. It had a trackball. It was similar to pic related, but this apparently is an Aero, and I know for sure my dad had a Presario.
They gave me and my brother a pack of 3 DOS games each for christmas back then. It had SFII (the early version that didn't have the 4 extra characters and you couldn't select the 4 baddies), Monkey Island 3, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, that one Chupa Chups platformer, a car game called Lotus... and something else I don't quite recall.
I ended up deleting Office from it (which only my dad used - mainly Excel for work) because I wanted more space for some reason or another, and I wasn't allowed to use a home computer 'til years later.
it was an old toshiba satellite.
1.5ghz celeron
1gb ram
64mb vram
40gb hdd
It was my dad's old work laptop and he gave it to me when I was 8. I played a shitton of warzone cs 1.6, doom 2, duke nukem 3D, morrowind and nes roms. I'm 19 now and thinking about it now, that's really the reason I got into retro games: a shitty laptop that played nes games smoothly.
A ZX81
I still have it but i lost the power supply
Shitty HP Pavilion laptop from Best Buy. Ran hot as fuck, HDD broke, and came with fucking Vista.
I had this as my own first, but our family's first was a 2000 Compaq presario dekstop on windows 98.
I remember that compaq when the cd/r drive blew and shorted out.
Sparks started flying out of it, and there was a small burn spot.
Forgot pic
Aldi supermarket Medion tower PC (AMD Athlon II) and hand me down HP laptop.
The commodore 64. It was basically a gaming system where you had ACTUAL floppy disks. My favorite game was spy hunter.
Same
I miss my child life...
My first machine was a Toshiba Satellite Pro 405cs from Savers thrift store in 2007. Got it for $10 with Windows 95. 40MB of RAM, 75Mhz Pentium 1 i586 processor. Loaded Linux on it when I stopped being a normie.
I still do. It's too slow for much nowadays, but god I still love this little machine.
It was the 700 Mhz model from what I remember. Still have memories of exploring the ~2005 era Mature section of Newgrounds on it.
It wasn't personally mine, it was the family computer, but it was the first computer I interacted with. Heck I still have the thing upstairs in a room. Tut's Tomb was the shit.
Whoops, forgot the photo.
This beast, it's basically a family heirloom at this point.
first machine that was outright mine and not just the family machine was an old Dell Latitude work laptop from 2001 that my dad gave me (I got it two years later)
had a mindbending 512MB of RAM
the home computer we had at the time was faster, but had a third of the memory
stopped using it in like 2008 when it was literally falling apart and had issues with the screen connection and the CD drive was unreliable as shit and the 10GB HDD was a real pain
it was old enough that USB boot didn't work, which was fucking maddening
getting a new machine felt like a warp into the future
the machine I grew up with was some Gateway 2000 shit from 1994/1995 or so (apparently, my dad spent fucking loads on it at the time)
I remember playing a bunch of Doom and the Duke3D demo on it, and all the Microsoft Entertainment Pack games and that collection of Atari PC ports for Windows 3
earliest memory of using a computer I have was (re?)installing Windows 95 with my dad
pentium m laptops feel far snappier than very early atom laptops
absolutely horrendous experience
An old clunker piece of shit Compaq from like, 2004.
I loved it.
dell vostro 1000
a terminal? what did you use it with?
NEVER
OBSOLETE
Apple ][
I forgot, some big ass grey tower. It was the early 90s and I was like 3 so back then every computer looked the same to me.
RS2 beta was just going public when I tried using that computer in my school's lab. The beta simply wouldn't run but RSC ran "okay"
I used to play RS2 on a 800MHz P3 Dell Latitude
Shut up
The keyboard is not even qwerty

"According to this, you're a faggot!"
my first computer was an iPad I got in middle school
