i literally cant even user

>1660ti
fuck

Thanks AMDs GPU department for being dog shit incompetent.

*sells it for 200 bucks*
*btfos the entire ayymd lineup*
hehe ... nothin personnel ... lisa ..

They're ripping the RTX silicon out and selling them as 11xx series.
This is the death kneel for RTX since if there isn't a reliable userbase for it no dev is going to waste their resources on it.

This is your GPU market without competition.

What about Obama? Did you forget to thank him as well?

>sells it for 200 bucks
you're living in a dream world nvidiot

Will only make sense if it costs no more than $250.

nooooo .... this cant be happening bros .....

I don't know. This whole thing reeks of stupid to me. Would totally wait for Navi.

Attached: icancounttopotato[1].jpg (1920x1080, 286K)

>wait for Navi
lmao

Attached: 1548036210390.jpg (1280x854, 357K)

How are they dogshit incompetent?

AMD had always traded blows back and forth with AMD. The only thing they suck at is marketing.

Tell me the 470/480 is a bad card, or the 290, or the 7970, or the 4870.

>AMD had always traded blows back and forth with AMD
yes, exactly

>20% faster than 1060
looks like my 1070 isn't going anywhere for a while

Attached: wtf9.jpg.png (429x410, 10K)

>20% faster than the 1060
Wow impressive... Oh wait... No, not really.

>20% stronger than a 1060

So 15% weaker than 1070?

>be ceo of multi billion dollar company
>have more personal wealth than any man could spend in a hundred life times
>get shitty tattoo done by second rate scratcher on arm and be proud of it
ahahahaha

just pay up poorfag.

>ripping the RTX silicon out
Probably just disabling it and binning cards with defects in ray tracing.
I wouldn't be surprised if it'll be possible to flash these cards to re enable the ray tracing, or otherwise unlock some other shit they disable.

>Buying nvidia ever

Who cares.

I have always bought intel cpus and amd gpus.

One time I tried an intel/nvidia set-up and it was constant blue screens, crashes driver issues. Several wipes / os changes thinking it was something else.

It was nvidia causing me all the grief. Fuck nvidia.

Attached: NPCOS.png (1177x1024, 100K)

I was thinking of buying the housefire 590 but Im gonna get this one instead

I've told people it won't match the 1070. it makes no sense for nvidia to release a card that matches their former "low - high end" product when they have no reason to for the lower end market.

and plus, the profit margin off the 2060 doesn't deserve higher performance. turing is costly for nvidia. very costly. considering half the core is tensor cores that can barely into raytracing.

>ripping the RTX silicon out
Probably just disabling it and binning cards with defects in ray tracing.
I wouldn't be surprised if it'll be possible to flash these cards to re enable the ray tracing, or otherwise unlock some other shit they disable.

Definitely not. The tu106 or whatever die is like the size of a 1080ti die. It would be more economic for a company that can afford to produce more dies to simply produce smaller dies

It's TU116 GPU, it simply does not have RT core to save on die space

It still has Tensor cores because DLSS is a huge win in consumer space

what did he mean by this?

Attached: 1517259292296.png (1266x757, 42K)

He'd be eternally based

Why would they undermine their RTX strategy of differentiating their lineup from AMD by releasing new cards that don't support RTX? There's already a card that's 20% faster than the GTX 1060 on the market, it's called the RTX 2060. The price it's at is BS and could easily be reduced if Nvidia wanted to move hardware.

poorfags need to upgrade their 1050tis and they can afford a 2060 so this makes sense

Performance per dollar

What is being measured? What do the higher bars mean? Its missing a label on the y axis

cant*

>9x0 is 900-series
>10x0 is is 10-series
What did (You) mean by this?

Nvidia could drop the 2060 to $250 and they'd still make money.

what the fuck is this autism. Why do they need to make 15 version of the same graphics card slightly tweaked?

Attached: 1517259292296.png (1266x757, 50K)

The original 2000-9000 were the 2-9 series, so 100-900 had to be the 100's.

AMD cards also age like wine. Every driver update makes them more efficient.

Attached: 1542158365149.png (1267x783, 25K)

I think their more generous memory specs also help them age better, too.

Literal brainlets

I bought a 2060 on day of release, I got memed by the GPU Jew.

He and Su are relatives, I wonder if the entire companies are just those two bantering back and forth, and AMD can't win because Nvidia's essentially the big brother.

didnt he start at amd? and even tried to buy it at one point?

wow great argument fagtron!

According to these leaks this GPU will be a good 30%+ weaker than a 2060 so unless you were in the market for an RX590 non-housefire edition you'll be fine.

>racy tracing

>20% better
>50% more expensive

I'd eat my testicles on stream if it's below $300.

Its not like AMD had plenty of GPUs that beat their Nvidia counter part in the past, yet wasnt bought.

As long as the average gaming autist flat out refuses to put anything but Nvidia® Geforce© GTX™ and Intel® Core™ i5/ i7 into their prebuild *insert shitty tech chain* RGB GAMING COMPUTER I dont think we will see true high-end cards from AMD any more.

Fuck me, for most "gamers" Ryzen is vastly superior at their pricepoint yet those drones still refuse to listen and will insist I use Intel instead.

So it's a binned 2060 with rt cores disabled?

yea, its kind of sad how the 1050ti alone has more marketshare the all the amd gpus put together

Do you think they'll eventually run out of numbers and go back to calling them GeForce 2, GeForce 3, 4000, 5200, 6800 and so on?

what did he mean by this?

Attached: 1541665427482.png (1269x756, 54K)

Do they become vinegar after a while

He was an IC engineer at AMD way back when it was starting out IIRC. He moved on quickly to start his own business. And he didn't try to buy it but when AMD was shopping around for a graphics company they were interested in buying Nvidia. Jensen said on the condition that he become the new CEO of AMD. AMD's execs told him to eat shit and laughed him off, then he proceeded to curbstomp AMD in the market after AMD bought ATI in a botched purchased that them overpaying, which resulted in selling of the Adreno group and IP, and slashing R&D for AMD and ATI.

In hindsight it's pretty clear AMD's suits fucked up. Jensen clearly wasn't looking to cash out and run, he was looking to take the company to new grounds. He had lineage there and he wanted to captain the ship he (according to him) loved.

literally ass blasted

>he and mommy are relatives
They just happen to be taiwanese, it's not like all of them are relatives

That doesn't explain why 10x0 should be 'ten-series'.

Because the 10 part never changes.

haha lol xDD

Gotta make something out of the dies with faulty tensor cores.

Only 20% faster than the card nobody should be buying right now. Is this a joke?

So it's essentially going to match a $290 Rx 580 for $200....

Will it at LEAST have 8GB of vRAM?

Attached: Average.png (1327x1225, 35K)

*$180

You can get a 1070Ti for that much off ebay.

Pic related os agrees

More like they are shit and underperforming at their release and get how they should be later on.

no they fucking don't. the finewine meme has never been true. when amd stops optimizing for their older cards like they're doing now, those cards become shit. the only reason people believed those old cards like the 7970 ghz aged well is because amd rebranded it twice over to the 280x then 380x. as for current fine wine, the rx 480 came out and was worse than the 1060, amd were forced to overclock it and rebrand it to the rx 580 and even after that factory OC it isn't a single frame faster on average than that same old gtx 1060.

Attached: 58010602019.jpg (1920x1080, 221K)

>still not a proper reason to ditch the 980
It isn't like a value proposition where they sell a next gen part binned down for whatever reason.

Attached: 1420327770141.gif (380x219, 874K)

>20% more faster
What the fuck is wrong with the PC market right now. Jewvdia and Intel are going full jews and retarded with their product pricing and naming. Just when PC market was getting good and affordable, these retards go full jew.

he's literally her uncle though

Isn't rtx 2060 good enough?

Ahaha the shit amdrones saying. Man this board so retarded now.

The the '200 series' should be a '2 series'.

This. AMD cards don't get fast over time. Nvidia cards simply get gimped by their own lack of vram.

They already used 2 series for the 2000 numbered cards so they couldn't.

>nvidiots intelligence over time

Should'a called it the 'GTX 2 series' or something.

Not sure what you're talking about. Just a few months ago the amdgpu team got primitive discard to work. Had to fall back on my 5870 after my GTX 780 died, and it ran great. Metro was much better than when it came out. Hell, I wouldn't even need a new card if it had more VRAM. The fine wine is there.

Oh wait, actually they didn't start using 1000's until the 5 (FX) series. There were already literally GeForce 2 GPUs with suffixes, no extra numbers.

As a former 5870 owner I can tell you that's pure cope. Catalyst isn't even supported anymore and you have to deal with the fglrx shitshow on linux. So you get the same old broken drivers with BSODs.

The use of RadeonPro wasn't nearly as satisfactory as nvidia inspector is, and I had trouble getting a few things to work that were surely working back in the day. However, I didn't encounter the problems you describe on either Windows or Linux.

>wait for Navi says increasingly nervous poor man for the 7th time

Attached: 1516306259307.png (213x237, 9K)

You guys are retarded. Left half is frame-rate with RTX on, right is RTX off.

Attached: 1517974857843.jpg (601x601, 156K)

The absolute state of the GPU market. Imagine having bought a 1080ti 3 years ago. You must be laughing our ass off.

Retard here, what would Navi improve?

>missed the boat and didn't jump on the 1080ti's
JUST

Anyone who bought a decent GPU in 2016-2017 pre-mining boom basically made out like bandits. I just flipped a nearly 3 year old 1070 for $250. That's $100 less than I paid for it after almost 3 years.

11 series is going to be a rebranding of Pascal stock that is going to be OEM-only. It is a repeat of the 3 series.

The 290 can still max games at 1080P, the 680 cannot. Hell the 780 can't either.

Also that 570 sells for about half of a 1050ti :^)

I wish I went for the 1080ti but I can't complain since I picked up my 1080 for 400 bucks like 2 years ago now.

>forgetting 7
the absolute state of ayymd lmao

They don't have cuda, or nvenc /v/tard, so their shit from day one.

but she dismissed it as "not true." [37]

At some point, the cards get left behind in terms of driver optimizations, true. But since AMD always gives a lot of VRAM to their cards, they are able to hold on for longer.
Meanwhile, on the Green Team's side, Nvidia actively gimps older cards through driver updates to force people to update to their newest GPU lineup.

HD5850 is the greatest videocard i ever purchased
rx 580 (8gb) is finally aged to perfection and btfo's my friends 1060 6gbs
i just feel bad for them that they didnt listen to me and buy amd
