after fresh install restart in safemode and delete botnet problem solved.

if you install the full suite nvm but if you go with drivers only you can remove the botnet and your gfx card still works

>Linux AMD driver
>Completely free and open, only has firmware blobs
>Tearfree, freesync, and high performance out of the box
>Free performance additions on the weekly
>Fast bug fixes
>No telemetry or bloat
>OpenGL is high tier
>Vulkan is perfect
>DX11 > Vulkan
>DX9 > Gallium

I'm staring to pity the poor fools stuck on blob drivers. This is so damn good.

Last month a friend tried to install Nvidia driver, but it said he doesn't have supported hardware.
He downloads the oldest version he could find afterwards, tried to install. No supported hardware again.

Surprisingly I managed to install the latest novideo driver (the one with advertised freesync support) at the first attempt. Normally it takes 3 to 5 attempts for it to install successfully because installer will often crash. And I would get game crashes and blackscreens, forcing me to downgrade all the time. This time around, surprisingly, everything worked out perfectly. Except for novideo false advertising. They fucking blocked VRR support in windows 7 and didn't even mention it in release notes.
Well at least I'm glad I don't have to roll back and tinker with DDU again.

who is this anus angel?

Neat! Thank you!

>Linux AMD driver
>Tearfree ... out of the box
Objectively false, you need to add a line to your xorg config.

Can you get shit like ReLive on Linux or nah?

seething archfag detected

yes, it will work fine on linux
t. Rx 480 bro

I use Windows :^)

>xorg
MOOOOOOOOOOOMMM UPDATES BROKE IT AGAIN

fuck
you should have told me sooner
what a waste of my life downloading bloat

What?

No tearing on non-shit distros and DEs. Linux Mint Cinnamon and Xfce have no tearing on AMD or Intel.

Xubuntu is shit now?

It's always been shit, yes. Mint Xfce is years ahead. And I'm someone who used Xubuntu for 2 years.

I don't know how you can say Xubuntu is shit while recommending Mint.

Because Mint is significantly better. The less shit you have to do out of the box the better a distro is. Mint fixes super key not doing shit, removes screen tearing by default while also offering an immediate choice of compositors if you ever need it and also places the panel on the bottom.
If you actually used it instead of parroted memes against it you'd know that I'm right.

Feel free to point out what meme I've parroted, I'm just speaking based on my own personal experience.

>Nvidia panel still as slow and buggy be as ever

So am I. Xubuntu is worse than Mint Xfce.
>what meme I've parroted
That Mint is bad without saying why, which is what Archfags always parrot.

kiernan shipka

Point out where I said Mint was bad.
All I said was that I don't understand how Xubuntu is shit while Mint [XFCE] is not when they are incredibly similar.

You can do this manually.

thank you sir

Linux doesn't have this problem

How do you do that? How are you opening the contents of the driver? I know its probably simple but I'm at work and can't fiddle with a random nvidia driver download right now
