sapphire...
bass is the most relevant frequency to the HD600 because it has none of it

It's just the resident troll.

I have DT 880s

I'm sorry for your hearing loss.

I'm sorry you don't have a life.

I'm sorry that your headphones are boring

i know.
but i still do feel weird about my choice.
apparently the difference in sound quality is negligible (between 990 and 681).
rtings.com/headphones/reviews/superlux/hd-681#comparison_2088
rtings.com/headphones/reviews/beyerdynamic/dt-990-pro#comparison_2030
the 861 seems to have better bass whereas the 990 has better mids and a better build quality?
honestly i have no clue how do interpret the numbers on rting. is this site even reliable?

Haha, absolutely btfo'd

snapshitters on suicide watch

Superlux have worse technicalities wrt distortion and the likes. They don't sound as clean at higher volumes.
The site is reliable as far as measurements are concerned but just looking at a graph doesn't tell you everything particularly when you don't have experience correlating what's on the graph and what it's actually like to listen to what's on the graph and get an understanding of the tonal balance.

I'd say long term just the build quality alone would make it worth it even if you didn't care about the sound, even more so when your budget is low like yours : cheap stuff is expensive long term. You'll feel a necessity to swap the earpads more often on the superlux because it's made out of cheap pleather that flakes off real fast. You'll still have to replace earpads on the beyer from time to time, but it won't feel as much as an emergency, more like "they're kinda less comfortable and the sound signature has changed a bit because the foam flattened" rather than "holy shit I need to wash my hair every time I use the headphones because disgusting shit is flaking off into my ears and hair".
You also can't really use velour pads on those luxes since they are tuned for pads that carry dem bass and would lose all that lower end with something less sealing.
Beyers are easy to repair and you can buy replacemet parts for every single potentially broken piece of the headphone. The customer service during the warranty time is also pretty good if you stumble upon a lemon.

too lewd dude

Is the HyperX Revolver S a good buy at $100?

No.

Wait, is that an actual manga? I thought it was just a random drawing.

yes

beyersremorse

Japan has a manga on pretty much any retarded topic in existence.

Yeah, they are alright, you will be happy with them. So make yourself a favor and read some reviews besides Jow Forums's, Anons here enjoy exaggerating thr stuff they like or not.

Just a friendly reminder that Stax headphones are audiophool garbage.

$4000 SR-009 was rated lower in blind tests than a $200 K701

Accurate description of sóyheiser users

I'm this user
They are pretty gud imo. I tested them against LCD-X (planar bass) and they get you 80-85% of the way there in terms of bass. also they are better imo in terms of gaming in comparison to my HD 598 in terms of directional imaging and how far I can assume someone is. I'm pretty happy with them overall for the price I got them for.

I have dt770 pros because it was a gift and they are solid, I can’t imagine these pics being legit unless you are a literal manbaby tossing around your shit.
That being said I’m glad I didn’t buy these because the price to performance isn’t that great even with an external DAC/AMP

>sóyheiser users

>even with an external DAC/AMP
you dont need a dac or amp with them?

Why would you buy 2 hd650 lol

Why buy even one

Cute

I bet if I left my dap there it would just fall off once i started walking.

Good question, kinda hard. I would want my only planars to be closed so I can listen to them with other people around. This greatly reduces the choice and leaves me with some weird options. I can't speak from actual listening experience so I'm gonna have to refer to reviews and sound demos from now on. The MrSpeakers Ether C Flow Closed and Aeon Flow Closed get good reviews but sound rather bright in sound demos which leaves me in utter doubt about them. The Audeze LCD-XC and LCD2 Closed seem to get mixed reviews for their dry, sharp sound. I don't particularly like the Fostex T40RP's stock sound, but maaaybe they can be fixed with mods. You could close up the T60RP but I don't know what that's going to do for sound, if they end up sounding like T40RP then no thank you. The Monoprice M565C seem to be complete garbage, the M560 only seem to redeem themselves once you turn them into open headphones. It appears that by deduction the only out of the box decent sound closed planars are the Monoprice M1060C, with alternatives being modded T40RP or DIY-sealed T60RP. The MrSpeakers closed models or Audeze closed models might be decent in person but I'd have to try them out and considering their price I wouldn't order them blindly from the other side of the world.

Attached: 295131.jpg (1200x900, 77K)

By the way I've immediately disqualified the Audeze Sine because they're on-ear, and the Adueze EL-8 because of their stupid fucking cables and connectors that you're not going to find ANY replacements for.

People who hate on ears are missing out on some of the best closed headphones in general.

Why am I accused of that? I only like meeku

Best headphone for 400 dollars max? I listen mostly to metal, hard rock and classical music.

Is the sennheiser hd 600 a safe bet? I just want something that has a cable and is equally as good (or better) than the Sony wh1000 xm3.

58X is better.

watching youtube videos and ate some bread.

grados sr60

HD 58x is cheaper and a HD 600 with more bass. probably will be funner for more mixed usage.

HD58X is a better value. no point in 6XX imo

Uncomfortable and awful sounding.

Sine, HD25, Amperior, DT1350, SP330 for closed.
Porta are more "open" non isolating stuff. But if we include open ones, sure, PortaBros, KSC75, some of the older Grados, the PX100..

Yes, HD600 is your best choice below 650$

>awful sounding

Attached: snap.png (882x758, 239K)

The 580 /58x seems to be unavailable on my country. Any alternatives?

>Is the sennheiser hd 600 a safe bet?

Attached: Chadilio.jpg (714x500, 65K)

No alternatives just import it. I live in Europe and paid 175€ total including taxes and shipping and it was worth it. I liked it so much i sold my hd600 & hd650.

Errr yes. I've owned them. Bass was plentiful but sloppy, and everything else was tinny and sharp. Also they were horrendously uncomfortable, the ear pads were so thin that you could feel the plastic on your ears, the bare metal head strap was uncomfortable too and kept getting my hair caught in it. Also everything felt flimsy, and I think they broke after a year.

Bought PX-100 II following the PortaPro, and they were a huge improvement in every single regard. Sturdier, more comfortable, better sound. Shame they've been discontinued.

>Also everything felt flimsy
>Sennheiser 100% light flimsy plastic sturdier

Attached: bait3.png (625x626, 70K)

Nothing is flimsier than PortaPotty. Literally two pieces of plastic with drivers in them and laughable thin wires on them, connected with two strips of tin. Either you're gonna yank off the flimsy wire or break the flimsy plastic angle adjustment or bend the flimsy tin headbend. Everything is flimsy.

Amperior? More like SUPERIOR!

The wires are really bad, the rest is about what I'd expect of a headphone sold at that price point in general.

And yet, they are still better built than the HD600. Says a lot about our society.

post proof larper

I see the cancer is evident in this thread once again.

Not to mention the KING of veil, HD650.

I sold them. I can only make a picture of the 58x.

just when you think they're gone and everyone's have fun minding their own business

How well do they soundstage/image?

this picture keeps getting blurry as fuck. tranny cant afford a high resolution camera?

>19kb file

Is this true? So 58x doesn't even come close? I eard the hd600 had bad soundstage but i didn't hear this about any other senn

HD 580 isn't the same as HD 58x.

It is true though HD 58x doesn't have good sound stage or imaging. As well as any HD 6x0 series headphones. maybe you can look at importing them?

Soundstage is not real anyways

They are very narrow resulting in good imaging, not as good as the hd600 though. But to be honest i don't really care about stuff like Soundstage and imaging or how well they do certain frequencies anymore. This shit became tiresome after a while. They sounded good to my ears and that's all that matters to me now. I realized that it's stupid to own multiple headphones. One headphone and one iem is all i need.

The HD 598, and HD 579 has soundstage. HD 598 being bigger.

It is real >_>

That's what sennheiser users tell themselves crying to sleep. The ones too poor to afford a HD800, that is.

>still have my first audiophile headphones but they're worn to shit
>saw a mint example for a steal price on Ebay a while ago
>regret not snatching them
