Why shouldn't you? /thread

needs more jpg

God I miss the days of intelligent programmers. When even vidya were impressive displays of software engineering. *sips*

You mean coding?

why should you learn anything ever?

why indeed

The image is 5.3kb tho

5.2kb

You shouldn't unless you're actually interested in it.

you really shouldn't, we don't need more incompetent people in this field

good bot

It will make you generally more useful.
t. Not a programmer but use programming for my work.

you're wasting your life by posting here. might as well do something that could or could not help you become better at using your computer, right?

You'll find ways to automate tasks that you'd painfully do by hand otherwise

Deep fry it

i thought the point was further degrading the image, not reducing the size

NICE TRIPS ASSHAT

The point is forcing a lossy format to become overly aggresive in saving space.

noice

pretty soon AI and programming environments will progress to the point where people will just throw together some keywords like "RPG", "Space" and "Top-down" and the AI will just make a game off of that and it will be 24GB for a 2D title

Quite the opposite, reducing size is one of the few things AI is actually helpful with

my fucking sides

no one would care about reducing size. It's never been a priority for games as long as they fit on a given medium or aren't a complete joke to download

Fuck

Imagine being so insecure you havr to check the image kb instead of just trusting what it says

>Filename
Just enough jpeg.

Call me.

But AI won't be able to create games like he's describing for quite some time. In the meantime AI is quite helpful for file size reduction. That's all I'm saying.

kys

But that's 5.2kb

This
I'm a system admin for a small company and my rule of thumb is "Do I do this at least 3 times a week?" If yes, I write something to automate it. It saves me so much time which of course gives me far more time to shitpost at work.
