dns-level ad blocking, either by hosting your own dns locally or pihole

AdGuard I guess but why tho

This is strictly inferior to the fine-grained blocking UBO and uMatrix give you, you know.

You do know that the apocalypse everyone is talking about has not yet happened, right? People are alarmed about what Google is trying to make happen in the future, not about something that has already come to pass.

No internet. Use smoke signals and pigeons.

Time to build a PiHole I guess.

Sounds like the best time to find a solution is now.

>the current year
>not wanting to support content creators
Boomers are like literally the most entitled people ever.

I actively want """content creators""" to go out of business.

Ad block on router. With tomato, it only takes 1 click to set this up. This will block all ads on every connected device. The only annoying thing is redirect links. Maybe add a filter to strip the tracking portion and allow.

look at this chromecuck and laugh

i bet you pay for porn too

I jerked off to that scene too

these two

Take a look at what lengths people have to go to keep getting money. Also, a fraction of the money someone pays for your view or click goes to the ad provider (in most cases Google, I don't want to support these fucks).

It's not that I don't want to support 'content creators'. It's just that ads are almost always fucking malicious, inappropriate or just poorly-designed enough to be annoying.
I don't want anything getting in the way of having a pleasant web browsing experience.
If a site implements ads that I believe fit my definition of what a 'harmless' ad is, I disable ad blockers for that specific site. Simple as that.

This.

I've blocked most "content creators" with the iridium block list as their content is garbage.

That's way inferior to what uBlock origin can do. In fact, this is exactly what you can achieve using these simple fucking lists that Google wants to replace the existing API. In fact, DNS-Level ad-blocking is way worse since you can't even block paths, just entire domains.

DOBSON!
