Not nervous, just wondering what proof you have Qt is bloated. Runs better than the competition, easy to develop with, and above all - pleasant to the eye. It's just fine.

Qt is a bloated mess of redundancy and obsolescence, any senior c++ dev can tell you the same.

xfce runs fine on 2002 hp

theming was never broken, they simply never supported theming in 3.x
that's right, themes kept breaking not because gnome fucked up, but because it was never implemented in the first place, adwaita is /the/ theme, not /a/ theme

2003 dell latitude user here. Unfortunately for you idiots they both run the same. (if you disable all the effects on xfce).
Things have gotten in fact so bad you NEED a WM to use this thing.

fyi, i'm not a gnome3 user, never have been
i loved gnome2 though, and one of the reasons was due to how customizable it was, with lots of really nice themes to choose from

You dont understand you have turn off the compositor. And you cant use a gui because fucking nearly all good gtk applications have been gnomified.

everything's the same and you don't have to turn off the compositor if you used the one i told you

probably my favourite theme is Crux, but i don't know of anything like it for gtk3
