The Facetime bug is too sloppy to have been intentional for backdoor purposes.
All software has bugs, and this one is certainly beyond being reasonable, but it is still a bug.
The fact is that Apple runs damage control like nobody else. When it's their own products they have a whole step by step guide they follow every time something happens.
There's no way a company as big as Facebook (and Google) could make available iOS apps for side loading (these weren't distributed through the Appstore).
They fucking knew and they ignored it until the public found out.
