I almost wish I could live through the laserdisc era, people that had those were having a completely different experience than everyone else.

The only time I ever saw a laser disc movie was in the late 90s when I was in jr high and one of my teachers had a player in the classroom and it was some educational thing I don't remember what on. And this was already when DVDs were starting to become a thing.

Educational videos were one of the biggest sellers of Laserdisc units, my brother experienced something similiar although I never did. It must've been crazy though, having a home theater in the 80's, when all of your friends and family watch ota channels with rabbit ears.

Buddy's father had one. Wasn't that great. Hipster shit really. You couldn't rent them either. It's a bit said if laser disc is the high point of the 90s to you.
