I read books on my phone. Dog bless russian ebook sites.

You need to be gassed.

Thinking about LG v30
>los >quad dac >no notch is it worth it?
Ryder Watson
I wish Meizu would have some more presence in the west, I bought an MX5 in China and was pretty happy with it but the button broke and I was forced to get a new phone because the only stores are in like Austria and Belgium.
John Miller
>World's 1st holeless phone What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Does it literally not have any holes which are necessary for most basic tasks?
Aiden Stewart
My galaxy s6 has awful awful battery life. I used bluetooth for 30 min and browsed the web for 30 min and m batery was at 50. What do?
Ryder Morales
No hole no button nothing, vivo is releasing one as well, sound comes out through screen vibration, full screen print scanner and all that jazz
Matthew Reyes
Does it not even have a sim slot? Is the microphone also replaced with vibrations?
Jeremiah Jenkins
I don't usually go on /spg/, so I don't know the standard opinions, but I need a new phone. My nexus 6p is finally at its end. I'm thinking of getting the note 9, but I have some questions. 1) In general is it good to buy phones used? I will probably use ebay.
2) Is their good custom roms for the note 9? I've seen a few, but none that I recognize.
Under display microphone, not sure how the simtray will work, those are like the first mi mix, or the vivo nex or the flexpai, basically concept phones with niche appeal for devs and market tests.
Anthony Thompson
>Does it not even have a sim slot? no (eSIM)
>Is the microphone also replaced with vibrations? there's a small hole for the microphone so it isn't truly holeless. typical chink false marketing.
Leo Hernandez
If you don't mind the chink botnet get a mate 10 pro, it's dirt cheap new and it's basically the best you can get if you're not a mindless consumer
Isaiah Thompson
>Is their good custom roms for the note 9? I've seen a few, but none that I recognize. No, you can't even unlock the bootloader on the US Note9.
Cameron Diaz
Apparently you can, check xda
Anthony Ramirez
link?
John Russell
I can't because America's backwards ass technology still uses CDMA.
Xavier Watson
Pixel experience or LineageOS for Pocophone? MIUI is terrible.
I find it odd that there's no consensus on the right phone given x price. For intance, what would be the phone to get if my budget was $500 but could maybe splurge to $600? I'm thinking the S9, but surely there must be something cheaper or more optimal if I give that upper limit. My ideal phone does not exist, I'm sure of it. Removable battery, expandable storage, decent screen, not too huge(less than 6 american cm.), good ports, decent OS or the ability to change to a better one, no dumb notch, etc. would be asking too much these days. I'd even like a physical buttom in the front, but who does that nowadays?
>Removable battery Yeah that's pretty much what fucks your choices over, noone makes them anymore
Aiden Parker
Hope for Sony hasn't cancelled XZ4C?
Luke Baker
Again besides the removable battery that doesn't exist anymore, mate 10 pro or check out Sony's stuff, they are pretty adament on keeping most features like the jack and not following on on the stupid trends like notches, Samsung has felt like a rip off for a while now and became a brand purchase for many people, like Apple.
Kevin Clark
Does Titanium Backup work fine if im switching rom types?
Kevin Brown
It does.
Samuel Morgan
how does it charge owo
Austin Williams
Im surprised Xiaomi even lets people unlock their phones given how hard they try to scare you out of doing it through the official unlock system. >Your security will be fucked >Fingerprint scan might break >Still want to do it? We're erasing all your data then.
Liability, they're telling you if you do it and it screws up it's your own fault and considering the amount of retards who brick their phones because they want to follow trends and hobbyists/power users they are right to do so.
Alexander Hall
Retarded chink garbage
Cooper Ross
nothing out of the ordinary, most manufacturers have similar warnings for official bootloader unlocking. Unlike Xiaomi, many of them also void the warranty if you unlock the bootloader.
Is the nokia 6.1 still worth it? Are there better options for a similar price? Also, I would prefer to avoid a chink botnet OS, even if the hardware is good.
Grayson Diaz
>virgin phone
Cameron Bennett
It's the M20 a good phone? I now it's less Powerful than redmi note 5 but it's only $150 and have a 5000 mAh battery
>Also, I would prefer to avoid a chink botnet OS This is why you use custom ROMs and microG. Not something you can do on also Chinese Nokia phones.
Xavier Ramirez
>LG no
Easton Robinson
Some of their midrange devices are China exclusive and this one hasn't even been released yet.
Juan Collins
I ve heard that pixel experience is good
Landon Ward
When you have some xiaomeme device that you bought unlocked (so they can install a multi-language ROM), do you need to link a xiaomi account to it or can you just install xiaomi.eu without it asking for an account I don't have access to?
Bentley Clark
Why is every phone so fucking big? You telling me you want to consume media on such a tiny screen?
Joseph Nguyen
if it's unlocked it's unlocked, no need to link a xiaomi account.
Jaxon Clark
Well a 6 inch screen feels much better than the 5.2" display I had on my old Xperia phone way easier to read stuff and porn looks much better obviously.
Noah Myers
why
Jayden Perry
>way easier to read stuff I guess, but I had no problems reading on a tiny 4in back then. >porn looks much better obviously. I can't even remember the last time I looked up 3DPD porn. Eromanga is just too good.
Joshua Perry
a >I guess, but I had no problems reading on a tiny 4in back then. But you had problems typing on such a small screen. That benefit is obvious. And with screens that small, the drawback among others in not even being able to see HD content.
Ayden Clark
imagine BOOOOTLOOOOOOOOP in that faggot Jake Paul's meme voice

Looking for a replacement for my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. USA, AT&T, Heavy internet/comms user so large screen preferred. XDA support also highly preferred. Budget of ~$300.
I fapped to Megami no Sprinter a while back and it looked great
Noah Harris
>watching youtube opinion discarded
Joshua Gray
Whats your opinion about the rumors regarding the xiaomi redmi note 7 pro? Snapdragon 635 and a true 48mp camera for under 300€ seems too good to be true
No one's compared poco with gcam against a Note 9 or a Pixel 3 the HD youtube videos show the gcam poco looking like ass compared to the Pixel 3 look at this, for instance youtube.com/watch?v=rLHkMLFa1i0 3:12 and 3:44 the Pixel takes way better photos than that crap. Pic related
Nokia 6.1 / 7.1 is what you'd be looking at with your budget (most other models aren't compatible with US carriers). They're decent phones but can't really compete with the LG V30 specs-wise since it is a flagship phone.
If you don't mind missing the headphone jack then Mi Mix 2S and Mi8 can be bought for ~$350, have great specs for the price and are fully compatible with AT&T.
Cameron Scott
>camera comparison >youtube video retard
Aaron Anderson
I did mention that >No one's compared poco with gcam against a Note 9 or a Pixel 3
Dominic Campbell
I'm considering ditching the 3.5mm. I'm already starting to rationalize buying an adapter, or using my pair of bluetooth earbuds in lieu of a traditional audio out. I may just go for the Xiaomi route again.
>3:12 and 3:44 >pic related Not a fair comparison since you're comparing photos taken with Poco's front camera to one taken with Pixel 3's rear camera, so obviously they'll look worse.
Blake Rogers
And here's a low light pic from the Note 9 the details look WAY better basically lol at chinkphones with memecam, it's better than stock but it won't match up against the likes of a Note 9
Okay, found a better comparison pic see how those letters in the billboards look fuzzy and unintelligible compared to the Note 9 pic here, you can clearly read 'Sebastien' and 'Patissier'
Wife looking for a sub-$400 phone that works well on Tmobile...Im a poco meme lover but that phone only gets one band..help suggest something before she makes me sleep on the couch
and finally, check the car plates. You can make out the car numbers on the Note 9 pic but not on the Poco pic, despite the cars being closer to the camera in the Poco one. Just lol
Noah Kelly
off topic but which music player do you recommend i use, poweramp?
Nolan Torres
I used to use Poweramp years ago, before switching to an iPhone. It was great with lots of customization. Now I can't find a single good skin. I'm not sure if everyone started to use another music player.
Caleb Lopez
Nice bands/camera but ouch that processor
Jose Jenkins
>ouch The accepted terms in 2019 are Oof and yikes. Pick one
Noah Perez
i use pulsar but an older version without ads. phonograph is pretty good too, assuming they are still ad-free
Tyler Gutierrez
what's wrong with the SD636? It's a good mid-range SoC. Is she going to be gaming on her phone? If she needs more performance then consider the LG V30 here , Mi Mix 2S or Mi8.
Kayden Watson
SD636 is grand, fuck right off kiddo.
Luis Thomas
Not really games just a little future proofing for apps... was just looking at the v30 and yeah Ive been begging her to use a Xiaomi again(we had mi a1) but she associates dropped signals with the brand lol even tho those Mix support more US LTE bands
Jaxon Howard
Im on a 845, come join the poco-train
Jordan Ross
Wtf I love LG now
Elijah Edwards
Used a Nexus 6 for 3 years then I bit the V30 bullet and I gotta say I'm kinda impressed.
>los >quad dac Choose one, afaik you can't really get both
At least use the same photos in these comparisons.
Jason Lewis
thanks guys
Matthew Martin
There aren't any. No one bothered to compare a poco with gcam against a Note 9 still, does a good job at showing how the Poco can't capture details at low light with the car plates. The difference may not be worth what the Note 9 costs but it's still there.
Henry Evans
>cherry picking this hard to justify poor purchase decisions
James Fisher
I use Foobar. I've no problems with the Android port.
Again, not the same photo. So, what are we even comparing here? And was Poco even using gcam, flash, night sight? There are too many variables and unknowns here.
Kevin Campbell
legitimately braindead. good job.
John Powell
I don't know why are you discovering this just now and using pics that are weren't taken under the same conditions with the same subject and on auto settings to prove it. The Note 9 has both a way better sensor and OIS and in any difficult situation it's bound to capture better photos. Likewise I don't understand the other guy either, comparing the Poco cam to the Pixel 3 when exactly the same applies.
John Carter
Which ROM should I install onto my Redmi Note 5 Pro?
Anyone have any other used phones to look at for under $200? Looks like the LG G6 is the best bargain atm for $100-$140. Chink phones are hit and miss in the USA. Need to find something that works on T-Mobile.
Oh well, I tried. I'm convincing myself as much as anyone because I'm gonna buy a pricey smartphone for the camera this year.
Matthew Thompson
Don't bother with the PRC shills mate, the ricer cam can trade blows but it'll never beat the likes of a Note 9. If you can afford a Note 9, get it. It's certainly better than the Poco.
