lol
Lol
That's because the RX 590 was made to compete with the 1060 and it does that well, usually 10 FPS higher in games for the same price. Nvidia's response will be the 1660.
>720€ for a gpu
I can just buy a console or two for that price
That's not a very fair comparison when 8GB Rx 570s with ~15% lower performance that can be gained back through OC'ing regularily go for ~$140 - 160.
Rx 590s are really just 580s that have been OC'd so they're a scam anyway.
Intel (CPU) - Nvidia (GPU) chad masterrace
AMD (CPU) - Nvidia (GPU) casual gaming
AMD (CPU) - AMD (GPU) 20 IQ retard beta virgins
Do I have to wait for Navi or is there some AMD GPU worth getting if my current one is RX480? It's an okay card but I need more because after building my PC I later bought a decent display and my GPU isn't up to it. My display is 144Hz 1440p and my GPU wasn't designed for that. I already keep everything on low graphics and still can't keep a steady 144 FPS in Overwatch. That's pretty much what I use it for. I only want AMD GPUs.
>2x the price for 1.5x the performance
lmao
Now put a similarly priced gpu (the radeon VII) beside it.
Wait... it's not out yet and you're already pre-emptively shilling and doing damage control. LMAO!

Vega is garbage lmao AMD fags
vega 56, it costs half as much as an rtx 2070 and sometimes can even match it in some gaymes. OC'ing + UV'ing will actually get you better than rtx 2070 perf if only by 2-5%.
>seething
Canadafag here.
Vega 56 is around 800 dollars here.
The RTX 2070 ultra XC I bought was 700 so I bought the nvidia card this christmas.
>literally 5-10% within RTX 2070 perf while only being half the price
>"AA-Ayymd B-bbtfo hh-ha-ha"
neck yourself
Why would anyone buy an rx 590 over a vega 56?
shut up you stupid goy. It's completely fine when nvidia releases cards to match last years radeon at double the price.
However, it's not okay when radeon matches 2/3 months old nvidia card at the same price-point.
Also vega 56 is like 800 also have to upgrade the psu to 750 watt from my 650watt due to the power consumption. but if buy the rtx 2070 I only need the 650 watt. Plus even if I OC to 2050mhz on the gpu and 7990 Mhz on mem I still only get max 200 watt psu usage on the psu.
Will it be able to handle 144Hz 1440p or should it be Vega 64 instead? Is Vega 64 a bad product that will overheat always even as a non-reference card with many fans, like Asus or Sapphire? I mean I only really want the high performance in that one game, I can play other games with even 60 FPS.
I got a 1070ti for $270
>competes with an obsolete gpu
Sad.
You can get a Vega 56 for 350 bucks...
Just get a fucking RTX 2080 at that point bro.
ikr fellow 980, I mean rtx 2080 bro? haHaH
ca.pcpartpicker.com
>muh ebay prices
You can get a 1080ti for that
I bought an unused rtx 2070 for 470 €
A Sapphire Vega 56 is 399€ NEW and much less used.
Vega 64 isn't bad at all, it's just not worth it usually since the Vega 56 can be found for cheaper and yes, undervolting is recommended, you can still overclock though.
wtf fellow nvidiabro! I thought the rtx2080 was 600 bucks!
Ya honestly vega can't even come close to competing with the RTX series in terms of power efficiency.
>ebay
No.
If you are going to waste 700$ on a GPU you better buy a vega 64 at that point lmao
Vega 56's sweet spot in FPS/watt is around 180W though. This is a card that requires you to do your own tweaking, otherwise you do might as well buy a 2070. Only reason to buy a Vega is budget, they are a cheap alternative.
Well its not I saved 100 canadian monopoly bucks for the RTX 2070 for 689.99 CAD for a Vega which is 789.99 CAD.
yea bro! haHaH! Don't listen to those haters that made headlines about rtx cards literally exploding. My overclocked i3+970, oops, I mean, my overclocked i9 and 2080ti both run @ less than 27 degrees. And the total power sucked in by my system is only 125 watts! unlike those vegas and their 6000000watts! LOL!
For 80-100 FPS ultra + 2X MSAA 1440p it's more than enough enough stock settings. OC + UV will get you 100+ FPS on ultra + 2X MSAA. Completely turning off AA will get you pretty close to 1440p on ultra in most games.
VEGA 64 is a questionable purchase desu given how the 56 with OC can match it most of the time.
Yeah. I also bought a rtx 2080 for 350 bucks. In australia. amd btfo!
my vega 56 1600mhz @ 180w would like to talk to you
bullshit
>power efficiency
is irrelevant unless there is a 500W or more difference
>Sapphire RX Vega 56 Pulse, 8GB HBM2 - 399 EURO
>Sapphire RX Vega 64 NITRO+, 8GB HBM2 - 499 EURO
Those are my country's prices. Which one is worth it?
Now it would be the Radeon VII since its due in a week
If I show proof you guys are just gonna me a lying shitskin since it's in Indian Rupees
I got it for that much on some flash sale on Amazon
the RX 590 costs around $260-280 judging by a quick amazon and newegg search.
vega 56, aim for 1,500 OC at 1,250mV or lower
At worst you can return it and get the 64.
Stop being poors.
Anything less than a 2080 is a waste of money.
The 580 is competing with the 1060 at the same Pricepoint stop talking out if your ass
That's what was said when the gtx 1080 was out. Now the vega 56 shits all over it. More $$$ not always better.
Meh...
I still ">cope" with my 1070.
Says the guy who bought a 2080 instead of a 2080 Ti.
No, it competes with the 1060 right now, since Nvidia hasn't released the 1660 yet. The 580 is on par with the 1060 performance, while the 590 is 10% better right now for the same price right now.
>Now the vega 56 shits all over it.
Y'all just get on the internet and lie.
At most for the 2080 they'll release something to match it at the same price point.
I literally upgraded from that same card.
Strix OC cards are just too good not to buy.
Plus they're sexy.
Upgrading to a 2080ti soon maybe.
Gonna see where my money lands in the next month.
They are also among the best when it comes to cooling.
Strix hardware is nice.
WHAT? 1500 @ 1250mv is fucking retarded, i can run my pulse 1600mhz(actual reported speed) on 1020mv
>Y'all just get on the internet and lie.
Check out modern benchmarks, "Fine Wine" is real. At launch the 1080 and Vega64 were on par, now the Vega56 is better at half the games compared to the 1080.
It's a mixture of Nvidia gimping their 1000 series in favor of 2000 and AMD steadily making their Vega drivers better.
>At most for the 2080 they'll release something to match it at the same price point.
Yeah, but I bought my Vega 56 for less than half a 1080 costed at the time, before the 2000 series was even out. It's still even in warranty.
>Stop being poors.
>>Gonna see where my money lands in the next month.
Can't expect reason from a mainland chink
What about Intel CPU and AMD GPU
>Nvidia
>2x the price
>1.65x the performance
I don't see a problem on AMD's side
>claims to not be poor
>didn't buy a 2080 Ti
>isn't going to buy an Asus ROG Matrix Infinity Loop 2080 Ti when it comes out
lottery win, but 1250mv at 1500mhz seems to be the common successful OC + UV.
200% more money for 65% more performance
lol indeed
Not being poor doesn't also mean I have an infinite amount of money.
Should I get gtx 1070 or vega 56? Vega is 60€ more expensive around here.
>tfw got 1060 6gb for free
>free to comfy poorgaming till ddr5+nvidia 7nm
for 7 nanometer Nvidia you'll have to pay in megadollars
Intel users are too intelligent to use AMD graphics.
That's a great card, especially for free. If you're gayming at 1080p it'll last you until 7nm easily
What would be an acceptable price difference between the two?
So would you NOT get a vega 56 and OC + UV to match an rtx 2070?
vega 56 already outperforms a gtx 1080. Pascal was a mistake
1060 and 590 aren't the same price retard
1060 and 580 are
phoronix.com
I really have no choice since ROCm sucks cock.
Yep, i used 14 inch laptop for like 6 years, so i'm not used for big monitors. I bought 1080p 22 inch monitor recently, maybe will also get second with 144hz, depends on how comfy freesync at 75hz will be(i played for a month on 144hz withour sync and it was great)
Only thing i want to try is VR meme, waiting for Valve knuckles, hope will be fine at low-mid settings.
No.
>Not being poor doesn't also mean I have an infinite amount of money.
>lol ur poor
>lol I'm limited by my income, doesn't mean I'm poor!
If you can't buy what you WANT, you're POOR. Just as those AMD niggers.
see
That's BEFORE OC+UV
i bet you are that be awesome faggot with a new trip
> More than twice the price
> Only ~65% more performance
Hmmm
nah, stock voltage on vega 56 is 1200, decent undervolt is 1000-1100 depending on clock speed
I be that pretty mutha mutha
I got a 1080 for 250 on offer up. Was dope.
What are you smoking. Buy a propper silicon like on in a NITRO+ V56 and you'll easily have 1050mV and 1625MHz. Still only in the 300-400 bucks range.
fucking shill. 580 already outperforms gtx 1060 in any and all games
>and it does that well
wasn't it like twice the power consumption, lol?
No the fuck you can't.
>being too poor to get a full 2080Ti/ Turing Titan
> being this full of buyer's remorse when they realize that 2080 is a minor upgrade from a 1080Ti/1080 and should have gotten a 1080Ti when it was cheap and plentiful
You're right, the 1060 still goes for more brand new
That was the point, see The 590 outperforms it more
