Fractal design cases are generally good.

any plain rectangle is fine as long as it doesn't have any dumb looking windows or unnecessary ornaments stuck on

>buying a case rather than making your own (in addition to making all of your own components for the actual computer)
mental weakling detected

The one that meets your needs.

I built a computer back in the day for a client who brought me all the parts. First time I ever built inside of a Fractal Design case. Client chose the R4 with no window and it was awesome to build in. Since then I bought an R4 for my buddy's build, then an R5 for my own. I now own an R6 for my main build and retired the R5 to my server. If you want a case for flash and flair with a window etc, consider a non Fractal brand.

Stop having a boring salad. Stop having a boring life.

Anything cheap, your computer is not a you and should be on the floor anyway, who cares about how it looks.

I think I'll be keeping my Corsair 300r for the eternity. I don't really see any point in replacing it

cheaper and you get muh window they are pretty much the same case other than that

Don't know why they stopped manufacturing this, it seems that Corsair produces 90% meme trash nowadays

Why? You take off three thumb screws and you have access to everything.

1u server chassis.

Nice plywood box, fag. Any numbnuts can screw wood in to shapes. Put a little effort in to your shit at least.

How is the GPU connected?

Why?

>short with a handle
unironically better than the average modern gaymer case

the usual, very bendy riser cable

i have the be quiet pure base 600, works really well, looks very simple and is super nice, id recommend

thanks

You don't need a Jow Forums-approved case if you're not a pathetic nerd faggot looking for approval from the virgin spergs on 4channel's tech support board. Just buy a Fractal case, or anything else with sufficient airflow, and move on.

but Fractal is unironically Jow Forums approved. It's today's Lian Li

I see no ventilation

kek

i have yet to see any computer on that case running over 3 years

I want this to be real

I have that big old box with hot swappable bays from cooler master. Thing is a beast and is just great to have. I don't even use a full sized motherboard on it, just some mini atx one. Love that damn thing.

Are there drawbacks to mounting the videocard vertically?

I have two and for some reason one of my cables only runs a 4x, and I can't figure out how

What's a good case for someone living in a coastal area (in other words, a lot of dust in the air)?

in before liquid cooling

the usual drawback is the case manufacturer puts it too close to the side panel with no ventilation for aesthetics and it gets starved for air

Any case is good enough.
>bbut the salt in the air and corrosion!
Will kill your motherboard too.

Buy a cheap case, turf it when your motherboard eventually fucks out.

Those drive trays look like shit.

Better than any of the Fractal ones.

same idea, just with better cable management

This is mine, its one nice colour while also having an actual design on it with no lights. The plain black boxed aren't horrible but are so boring.

that shit is going to be a dust magnet. I have a case with a 200mm side intake without a dust filter (pic related), and it's already difficult to keep clean. I can't imagine how bad it'd be with a fan that's literally the whole side of the damn case.

my case is nearly 8 years old and still has a better internal layout than that

*unsheates katana*

nothing personell, kiddo

Attached: 1070KATANAweb_G_01[1].png (1130x780, 235K)

Katanas are really good for SFF machines when you cut the fan off and just rely on high airflow per case volume cooling.
I hate how we already have the RTX 4000 single slot quaddros but no RTX 2070 katana yet.

That the intake, you colossal fucking retard. kys

I almost take pride in dust
I had a full tower azza case with 230mm fans and as far as I'm concerned the dust just meant there was some wicked airflow and there was alot of dust
I have a corsair C70 now and with the stock fans along with some cheap cooler master fans from years ago and it says clean like really clean the dust filters don't even have hardly anything on them but the air exchange is meh

nibba just buy a rocket blower and squeeze it a couple of times per week

The Cerberus is honestly one of the best uses of space in the current PC case space. It's got good airflow, good compatibility, and allows for crazy compact Threadripper builds (pic related, 2950x)

fucking hell i had this case for years fuck this fucking "gamer heavy duty" fucking ass case

No, go R5 if you can, it's an upgrade in many ways
>much less restrictive front intake
>nicer looking side grills
>latching side panel
>much better moduvent design on top
