I returned my Surface Pro 6 yesterday to Best Buy, and now have a Razer Blade Stealth 13 on the way.
Did I fuck up Jow Forums?

you just have poor taste around the board
I get the razer is a meme thing, but what's wrong with surface products? I enjoyed using it while I had it. Taking notes with the pen during clients meetings or at home, tablet mode, high-resolution screen, fanless, windows hello, 1080p front cam, etc.
I thought Jow Forums liked surface products.
Jow Forums needs dedicated gpu to play garbage games.
You basically traded a meme for another meme.
It's sub-par at being a laptop and really bad - just awful - at being a tablet.
I have a surface pro 3 I used for the last 5 years, will get another 4 out of it I hope before I replace it.
Looks like an ODM model but with green.
Surface Pro isn't fanless. Just really quiet.
The Pen is alright but not great. The eraser function's pretty cool.
Surface doesn't work well at all as a tablet. Aspect ratio's all weird, thing's clunky and awkward, software interface just doesn't play nice with fingers unless it's for simple tasks like scrolling, etc.
Generally it's just too expensive for what it is.
The i5 version on the Surface Pro 6 is fanless.
I loved the pen too.
It doesn't play well with outputs and is lacking on ports. Ultimately the blade has a new Whisky lake processor, MX dedicated graphics, is a laptop, and is smaller still than my Thinkpad Carbon. I like to game at home, but the surface doesn't help me on the road. Seemed like a good compromise switch.
It's been OK as a laptop.. the keyboard flopiness leaves me wanting though.
I have no real complaints as a tablet, I think the pen is a must though or you'll have a bad experience.
I have the 17" pro, no complaints here, I got it to replace an ageing desktop.
cant disassemble without destroying it
worse than apple
>buying a laptop with fabric material next to your keyboard
Stupid as fuck, had an alcantara case on my s8, had to wash it like every 3 weeks. Just picks up all the oils, dirt and sweat and stinks
More overpriced than Apple products
Extremely buggy experience
Zero repairability
It's the worst of the worst.
Yes.
You should've bought TerryBook Pro
This succinctly summarizes my experience with Surface products.
Kinda, it doesn't charge at full speed (if you got the 2019 version) when gaming. Don't expect longer than 2 hours of battery life while gaming and plugged in.
PD negotiation must be fucked, so they *might* be able to fix it with a BIOS update, but idk. Tested with the 87W Mac charger as well, and it never drew more than 55W from the wall.
If you bought a 2016-2017 Blade Stealth 13, good shit. It's a solid laptop, good build, good performance, good battery life. I have the QHD 8550u model and it's the best laptop I've ever owned.
Heard the new models are pretty shit though.
Please explain why you'd get a Stealth for me. I've been trying to understand it at all. It's horrendously overpriced for the specs, and while thin and light it's still only bag portable for the vast, vast majority of people (There are some people with pockets in the back interior of their suits designed to take an ipad pro with some room, so a stealth could go there, but they're in the minority) and so it doesn't matter at all. 1.3kg vs 2.5kg means literally fucking nothing unless you're going hiking/birding with a bunch of other shit, and in that case why are you taking the damn stealth with you?
Because it’s stealthy
what the fuck where they thinking?
bigger arrow keys for gayming
If you don't care about gaming, just get a chromebook. This one has a pen, good touch interface, full android and beta linux support, 1920x1200 screen, and right at that sweet spot where it's not too big for a tablet or too small for a laptop. Plus it has an LTE version.
To be fair, I'm kind of fond of the Surface Laptop because at least that one has a legitimate and decided purpose. It's a laptop, and it's good at being a laptop.
Literally impossible to repair, though. And I don't mean 'literally impossible' as in 'zOMG this MacBook is lichurally, like, impossible to repair.' I mean the Surface Laptop cannot be opened without also being completely destroyed.
You literally can't repair it.
If you can afford the 60% premium to have it thin good for you and hope that thinness doesn't make it burn up and die on you, may as well pay a few hundred more for the premium warranty too
probably "oh shit we ran out of room you think the boss will let us cut holes in the case?" "nah, I don't think so"
stealth 2019? because it has a couple of improvements over last years model that are worth it.
Overall I would never get it, if you are throwing around money just get the 15 inch model, it's better.
Chances are Huawei Matebook Ds aren't gonna see $300-400 prices for a while, are they?
>There are some people with pockets in the back interior of their suits designed to take an ipad pro
lol okay chief
