Why don't you own a USD$240 keyboard from Japan?

Why don't you own a USD$240 keyboard from Japan?

Why should I?

Because I'm not a stupid weeb

I already have a keyboard that performs adequately.

Because you can get them cheaper.
I don't even understand the question.

yes if you don't you're not a true weeaboo

I have a few but not that one.

>240
try 125

>spending more than $50 on a peripheral

Yeah, it is a bit strange isn't it

Quote from the maker of the keyboard:

“Cowboys in the western United States leave their horses when they die. But never leave their saddles, regardless of how long they need to walk in the desert. Saddles are interfaces that are deeply adapted to our bodies whereas horses are consumable items. It should not be forgotten that computers are consumables nowadays, but keyboards are interfaces that we can use through our lives.”

because I can just erase the key letters for free

because I want to buy more dragon dildos

What a fucking retarded idea. A keyboard can be replaced easily but a computer is harder to replace. A keyboard is useless without a computer but a computer can still be used without a keyboard. You drank the whole fucking vat of koolaid user

is that water proof

his point is that when your current pc dies you can plug it into a new computer.

because eventually all the components of your pc will be obsolute or break down.

Why would I want to be a weebshit? Just because I like anime and culture, including Japanese?

Because I can get a $100 one from Taiwan that does the same shit with a slightly more familiar layout

because I own a USD$120 keyboard from Korea

A saddle is rather useful without some animal to put it on. I suppose Wada's point was that you can spend a decent amount on a keyboard if you like because it'll last (if you clean it). Plus you'll become more attached to the tools you use to interact with a computer rather than the computer itself, which is effectively replaceable without the user noticing.

but I do

how am I doing

The same is true with literally every USB keyboard on the fucking market. This thing costs more shekels than the laptop I'm writing this on.

Whatever free rubber dome has fallen into my possession masterrace

I don't care for mech and topre switches and I like my numpad for tedious data entry and roguelikes.

wobbly

but I do, except it costed $275 + import shipping

I don't but I do have the HHK Lite 2 and I do love it. The form factor is fuzz awesome.

Because the keys are in retarded positions.
For example control. Who thinks this is a good idea?
I am a weeb so it does appeal to me, but leopold is better after all.

Topre-switched Leopolds are made in Japan. So get the best of both worlds.

>no media keys
>no volume control
>no backlighting
>no numpad

literally what is the fucking point
i hate keyboard niggers so goddamn much

What is the key for?

you're using your keyboard incorrectly.

it's easier to use media/volume controls in the function layer anyway. don't have to reach.

numpad is for data entry specialists and no one else.

backlighting is only useful if you don't know how to type.

i had a hhkb a few weeks ago, white with non-blank caps, red esc and a gold logo

lovely keyboard, just was too expensive for me to keep it forever. back using a mx brown keyboard now and it's good, but i do miss the hhkb

my current board is a $30 TKL78 from amazon with granite keycaps

yeah for real, a compose key should be there.
desu tryna think about when I use the ctrl key... a couple obscure vim modes... opening firefox tabs?
should not be in such primo real estate.

Casual reminder that HHKBs are reddit as fuck.
If you really need to spend big dosh on a keyboard, then go for any capacitive IBM, hall effect, or magnetic reed keyboard. That shit was made to last!

doesnt even have ctrl keys what shit keyboard is that and paying 240 dollars for it

Because I own a keyboard with agreeable travel distance, a form factor that isn't tenkeyless meme shit, and cost me $3.99 at the Goodwill.

can i build my own? i like the layers aspect of hhkb

Because I own a $100 keyboard from Japan that isn't a shitty cutdown keyboard for dumbfucks.

How am I supposed to crouch

it had fucking better be with all the pussy it must attract

It doesn't have a trackpoint so it's barely usable for me.

Not enough keys, especially considering the price.

>not understanding aspect ratio

That's the ignition switch. Turn the key to start the computer.
