>semi limited supply of replacement parts so i will have to get something else... many many years from today
>oh god i dont even want to think about it

>iPhone XS

>Hard to say between my family wasted $1200 on it and it has no FUCKING HEADPHONE JACK

do you have a deditated mp3 player?

>closed source software and opaque hardware, security holes, constantly worry that some Mossad jackass is listening to every word I say, etc.
>no idea

I think this might be the correct answer.

Battery life while having decent hardware, custom ROM support
Camera, or rather how it works in custom ROMs. Nougat ROMs spoiled me by having fully working stock camera, Oreo and Pie never got it fully working, instead they focused on that buggy gcam port. I'll try it again on some Pie ROM, maybe it got better, for now I'm still on Nougat.
None. Not getting anything new until the notch and curved corners go away + 3.5 jack returns or BT headphones stop being absolute garbage regardless of the price.

>iPhone se

small, good build quality, no google
proprietary spyware and supporting apple
hopefully a pinephone if its not trash. barring that another small years old iphone

Hold me Z5c bro, you know my pain.

>no need for upgrade, i keep the thing as long as it is not worth repairing it anymore, last phone was iPhone 5S bought on its release 5/6 years ago and died only because i tried to change the screen myself and fokked up

Oh, I forgot: The high-res (1440p) OLED screen. My previous phone had 1080p LCD (IIRC), but I could see the pixels, which bothered the hell out of me, for some reason.

An another downside is the screensize. Can't easily type with one hand :(
I have to hold it on my fingers, increase the chance to drop it, so no hand-holding my phone.

And no USB-C :(

LG G6+
Headphone jack + quad DAC, the fingerprint reader location is also GOAT
I wish the back wasn't glass
Abso-fucking-lutely nothing, I don't need an upgrade and no one seems to want to put headphone jacks on anything anymore or make phones without notches because phone manufacturers have all lost their goddamn minds.

Nokia 5.1 (2018)
Does everything better than my old phone
Probably Google botnetting the shit out of me
You can not suggest a better phone at this price range in a good while - local shops started their sales for this in january. It's just super-good.

>Samsung Galaxy S8
>It works as a phone, good speed, big screen
>Samsung, rounded corners, too big to reach top corner comfortably (I already have big hands), insanely delicate
>none of these will happen, but: better battery, somehow replace back with something that isnt glass

What's a good phone in price range around £ ~150? I just really need it for WhatsApp and to take some photos, and to probably use maps, but that's it. Nothing too great, but I don't want a shitter that is laggy. Compact size is a plus.

The store employee tried to persuade me into buying a $350 phone but I just insisted
Why do people need expensive phones unless they run the latest games
Smartphones are a scam

Its because men are far more likely to think about wanking one handed than women. Girls also have purses so having heafty junk in pocket isnt an issue.
