Flickr is purging photos from free accounts with over 1000 photos in like 4 days

I've found tools to mass rip photos from albums, but I haven't found a tool that can also rip the liscense data for each photo with it. Does anybody know of an application that can mass download/save the HTML file of each photo's page in an album, that way the EXIF information and liscense can be saved in addition to me ripping the photos?

I'm sure there's a way to do it with wget or something, if an user wants to help me set up a command for this i'd apperciate it

How can I add the "Add to chrome" button on github
>inb4 reeee, chrome it's a spywre, a bot, malware !!!!!
I know and I still want to use chrome, now I made this thread, if anyone is interested on giving solutions instead of judging the browser.
or just install a github add on chrome

reeee, chrome it's a spywre, a bot, malware !!!!!

If terminal emulators actually emulate terminals (like VT102, etc), what terminal exactly is Powershell (the application found on Microsoft Windows operating systems) emulating? Which one is CMD emulating?

how to overclock ram, cpu and gpu?
i have ryzen apu (ryzen 3 2200g) and vengeance 8gb 2400mhz ddr4 ram. i'm afraid of frying everything up, what is safe? i've heard ryzen system perform well with overclocking is this correct ?

When I connect my external HD to the computer, a giant chunk of it will appear in my recycle bin for some reason. These files are backups of my backups. What's happening here and how do I stop it?

Motherboard?
Stock heatsink?

does anyone know how the syntax would be to just use one box for the filter words? like all the words will be in one box and still work to filter them.
instead of having to do a box for each word.
the first 2 I tried but it

>A320
You cant overclock your CPU.
You can overclock your RAM though, which is great if you use the built in Vega 8 GPU since it uses your RAM.

>GPU
If you mean a real GPU then with MSI Afterburner.
If you meant the Vega 8 GPU that comes with the R3 2200G then not exactly, technically you can but its not a good idea.

To add a bit you only can overclock your CPU using a B350/B450 or X370/X470 motherboard.

>Why
A320 motherboards are built to be used with Athlon CPUs and not only lack the features to overclock but their VRM is shitty as fuck and often lack heatsinks on them that you would really need if you overclock even slightly.

Okay, how can I overclock my ram?

In BIOS you change DRAM frecuency/speed from 2400MHz to something like 2666, i doubt you could overclock it till 2933 but who knows, its up to luck.

There is a setting that says Auto and is easy changed.
There is XMP too but only if your RAM supports it.

In Gigabyte its under the M.I.T tab.

There are some tools here:

In GIMP when I scale down a layer it does fine but if I keep doing it it'll hit some weird threshold and suddenly that layer will become extra blurry.
Any idea why this happens? It never used to happen.

Attached: th.jpg (1108x1108, 57K)

Learn what scaling actually is before using it.

2666 was indeed the maximum. 2gb vram is alright right?

Try experimenting with the different scaling methods in the tool options pane.

Something I do is I duplicate a given layer, and then scale each down, one using cubic or whatever other interpolation method; and then the other with zero interpolation; and then I set the top one to be partially trapsarent to a given degree depending on how sharp or smoothed out I want it to be, then merge the layers

Why does text in windows (or presumably, in other operating systems) scale only to resolution and not DPI? In windows 10 a high DPI display basically requires you to increase the scaling to have readable text, but if the font renderer knew the screen size + resolution could it not automatically display text at a readable size?

PLEASE HELP. PC STARTS WITHOUT BOOTING BLANK SCREEN BLANK SCREEN. DO I PRESS F12? AWAITING ORDERS.

What do you mean by blank screen? Does the monitor not light up at all or it does but only stays black?

Why would a man save such a picture? Is he fucking gay?

Why is OP a massive faggot?

Chrome is not only bot ware, but also monopolising the browser market, likely with deals with corporations to install it on all work PCs.

When going back from a blank/sleeping screen, the screen looks jaggy as fuck, and even the virtual terminals are affected. I have no idea what could be doing this, I'm using the nouveau driver and acceleration is disabled (it happened when it was enabled too, by the way).

Attached: 1510713847984.png (602x598, 313K)

I know it's not lighting up at all because I saw the "monitor off" color next to Power. A different color from when there's a display. The same thing happened to the keyboard and mouse. When it started, no laser light from the mouse. But now it's back. But essentially doing nothing.

Ok this issue is baffling me:

Running Win 10 Pro 1809
In Firefox go to: https://jetsetradio.live/
Click tune in
Buttons on right work fine
Close firefox
Lock screen (win + L)
Go to back to jetsetradio.live/
Click tune in
None of the buttons on the right side work

This only happens in firefox

Can you open up the computer and see if the fans are spinning and any things lights up on the motherboard?

So the Ffox process is ended and restarted?
That makes no sense. But it could make sense on a deeper level.

yes, very much
It's not only monopolizing the browser market on its own. It's doing so also because of other browser developers/vendors getting lazy and just turning their browsers into Chrome. Brave is now Chromium-based (well, even more so than before with the new version), Microsoft Edge is going to be Chromium-based. Many of the obscure freetard browsers use QtWebEngine, which is Chromium-based. Mozilla Firefox is technically the only exception, but even they are slowly making their browser more Chrome-like, starting with the extension system.

Well it doesn't matter if I lock the screen the right side buttons on that site will not work in Firefox until I log out and log back in
Have tried previous version Firefox and Firefox ESR issue still persists

I have a stupid question that might not belong here but I'ma ask anyways.

Just moved into a basement apartment out of necessity, so I'm sharing internet with the landlord. She's an older lady, past her sixties, so I dunno how much tech knowledge she has. How safe would I be to search for porn on this internet? Or should I just use my phone's data for porn?

>Well it doesn't matter if I lock the screen the right side buttons on that site will not work in Firefox until I log out and log back in
So the process didn't shut down properly. It was still running from before. Might be a bug, could be cache issue too. Not sure which program though - mozilla or the OS.
I think it's windows that causes that as it seems to do that with many programs recently. It's likely there on the event you accidentally closed the program and you need to return to your former session.

You're probably safe to go ahead. Even if she is secretly tech literate the chances of her actively monitoring the network are pretty much nonexistent.
If you're really feeling paranoid you can get a VPN.

I'll be honest, I have no idea how to work stuff like VPNs, I'm quite tech illiterate myself.

I can google though.

>It's likely there on the event you accidentally closed the program and you need to return to your former session.
I don't understand what exactly you mean by this

>even more so than before with the new version
Care to elaborate?

Depends.
If you have 8GB RAM use 1GB VRAM for the IGPU.
If you have 16GB RAM use 2GB VRAM.

Also are you using 1x8 or 2x4GB RAM?

You would need to pay for a vpn, but like I said I think you're fine without it. Even most people here don't *actively* monitor network traffic. That's only something you'd do if you start having some issues, but in your case you're really fine.

I didn't try yet but I know the PC was making a non-stopping beep sound (similar to when the OS was booting, before this) from the fan when the wind was there, I deleted the wind through a glass prefitted thing in the building that opens and shuts simulating a hole in the wall and the sound was gone but I faintly recall the sound was already gone when the glass thing was open and the problem started so maybe it is something wrong inside it.

It's a little hard to make out what you're saying, but it sounds like the computer was beeping before (this is called a POST), and now it isn't? If it isn't beeping anymore that's a bad sign generally.
First thing I would try out is popping out the CMOS for a minute and putting it back in (google where the CMOS on your motherboard is. It's a silver disc shape).

I'm not familiar with the exact specifics, but from what I understand, Brave used to run on something they came up with called Muon, which is basically Electron, which is a stripped down chromium thing used for standalone applications (you might, for example, see it in use in Discord, Slack, etc). Brave took that minimized version and were going to build their own thing on top, essentially redeveloping chromium in their own way. Eventually, for whatever reason (probably because it was taking too long), they just decided to make it a straight up Chromium fork. Instead of their original plan, their idea now is to merge in the Ungoogled Chromium patches to get what they want. Still, the end result is much closer to Chrome/Chromium than what they were originally doing.

Cool, thanks user. Hopefully you're right and I don't get kicked out due to porn use lol

Well, to be fair their desktop browser sucked, so seeing them switch to being a real team managing Ungoogled (instead of the single dude who was doing it as a project) is probably a step up here. I don't think brave was ever going to seriously fork the engine in a way that would majorly impact browser standards or web development. I'm more concerned about Edge. It's deeply concerning that firefox is now the only thing standing between google and complete dominance of the portal through which we connect with the world.

>It's deeply concerning that firefox is now the only thing standing between google and complete dominance of the portal through which we connect with the world.
It won't be long
zdnet.com/article/microsoft-guy-mozilla-should-give-up-on-firefox-and-go-with-chromium-too/

Windows or firefox obviously caches your programs when you use them to reduce time in it's processing. I'm thinking there's some setting that makes it hold that cache even after it's been closed or the process hasn't been properly closed by the OS/firefox.

I have an old 2011 hp laptop and want to update my LAN driver. Do i NEED to use the ones found for my model laptop on hp's site or can I use ones found on third party sites?

what open source (or other) backup software do people use for Windows systems?

What's the best laptop with an RTX gpu in it under $3k to buy?

Buying used mining cards are a bad idea right? I'm asking a guy about his cards on ebay, like how hot they ran and if he did shit to the bios or something. But it's not like I can completely trust what the guys says. I know this has probably been answered to death, but any help would be appreciated.

How would one go about combating rootkits in drive hardware and such?
I beat one once before years ago after getting a massive viral payload like a retard; but it was some scary shit, and I know that field moves fast.

Hey lads, not sure where else to ask this question so I'm doing it in two threads.
I'm doing a favor for somebody, they are doing this project for special kids and the like to go in and expierience sensory stimuli to help them with early sensory processing issues with a few different modules and I've helped them before on different projects for it.

They want to play a range of ambient sounds from 9AM - 6PM and then switch to a different set of ambient sounds for night time era, I bought a raspberry pi and I'm wondering what the best way to schedule this music to make it happen.

Is there any tool that jumps to mind or could I do this just with a terminal script? I'm more in the cyber security field but I thought this wouldn't be too difficult and agreed to help, can anyone point me in the right direction?

so I was just installing geforce drivers for my GTX 1070, and after i restarted for updates, all i get is a black screen

help pls

Picrelated works well for file/folder. If you need a system image, macrium reflect is the way to go. Clonezilla is open sauce, but has some irritating limitations, like not restoring to smaller partitions if you need to.

Safe mode, DDU, reinstall drivers.

Do you have Win 10 1809? I was hoping someone could try and recreate this issue

Can anyone recommend me a decent free/affordable VPN?

Preferably one I can use on PC and Android with one subscription, but not required. I currently use free AVG for virus protection. Is their VPN decent or should I look elsewhere?

Whats the best, least bloatware android emulator for PC?

All I wanna do is run Girls Frontline in the background when I'm not on my phone.

Just fucking forget it, my life is accursed and this was the perfect cherry on top. Forget the fact that my PC was my only connection to the outside fucking world because I never made any friends. "No pain no gain" says the spineless jock. We'll see how YOU like it you fucking hypocrite! Fuck all of this!

Only now. Only now do I fucking realize it was all just 100% pure jealousy that motivated my haters and bullies since Kindergarten. Jealousy because I never NEVER stooped to their garbage level. And that's why my PC stopped. Because outgoing FAGGOTs don't like the winter. Everything has to be all fucking summery for them. God, I can't stand this shit!

Running a VPN costs money, so if they're offering it for free they're making money off of you.
>decent
nord, PIA, and proton are all supposed to be pretty gud. Check out prism-break and privacytools.io

Rent a VPS, make your own.

What's a good power bank that you guys would recommend? Preferably somewhat cheap.

Probably take a break, but not one where you do stuff like shitposting or paperwork or housework.

Go for a swim in your pool or sit there and meditate for an hour or something else that is pretty different brain activity wise. It might help.

Amphetamines.

Xiaomi/ZMI in a suitable size (5Ah, 10Ah, 20Ah ...)

You will suffer the chinese new year holidays delay with the rest of /csg/ though.

Duplicati. But I admit it's not nearly as good as borg is on Linux, even considering that Windows is annoying to backup and Linux is not.

What do the voices tell you, user?

Attached: 1523427088127.jpg (639x624, 52K)

Okay, thanks. And that sucks.

Attached: 1358313705661.jpg (242x208, 34K)

I understand it costs money to run, and I am willing to pay. Of the ones you mentioned, what would you recommend I try? Do any of them offer combo PC/Android service or additional integrated services like virus protection?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'm a mechanical engineer. I'm not computer-savvy and don't have a ton of free time to take up a new hobby.

reinstalled drivers, still gives me a black screen :(

Anyone?

Well, the power banks at least are very nice. But yes, pretty bad timing overall.

if a VPN can offer virus protection they're doing it very wrong.

Forgive my ignorance. I'm just trying to streamline my protection, but if a standalone VPN is preferred, then so be it.

I personally use PIA which allows you to connect to the VPN service from 4 devices at any time (but no limit to how many devices you can setup the VPN on). The other VPNs are likely similar.
As for antivirus, you don't need one. Just make sure windows defender is enabled and use ublock origin in your browser, and you will be fine.

Try rolling back to old drivers.

Go ahead and try using third party drivers but you might get pwn'd and have to reformat. I'd recommend transferring all your files off the drive first.

Change where you're getting your drivers from. Also make sure you're not being an idiot and plugging your monitor into your motherboard.

I'm a software engineer and have been working as one for 5 years, but I'm still not feeling like I'm a very good programmer. I feel like if you give me a problem, I can generally figure out how to write a good solution, but I don't grasp a lot of concepts very well. Stuff like dependency injection, patterns and other architecture stuff goes a bit over my head and despite being pretty much exclusively in C# except for some angular and ngrx shit for webshitting, I find I just don't know a lot about C# as a language.
How do I get better at this? Is there books I can read that'll explain it to me? Please help, I feel like a brainlet and perhaps I am, but I want to progress from brainlet-tier.

If the chipset matches it's fine.

what will I lose out on if I flash lineagos onto my op5?

Oh yeah, forget about meme VPNs that come bundled with AVs. What do you need a VPN for anyway?

Broaden your horizons. Learn some FP next. Scala or even Haskell or Erlang or all of them.

Scala also helps you to get on the not so Microsoft-ish JVM ecosystem, which is bigger anyhow.

maybe slightly worse camera quality, but that's pretty much it. Lineage has strict requirements about official branding, so all the stock features of the phone must be functional before a build can be deemed official.

Gonna need a bit more info, do the fans start up? does anything light up? is it a desktop or laptop? if you can press num lock on your keyboard, does it turn the num lock light on? does the hard drive light flash a bunch?

I tried helping him man this is what he responded with

Any OS customization/features done by oneplus. Usually manufacturer changes to stock android are more bloat than benefit.

I'm not doing anything particularly sketchy, but things like targeted ads and the occasional torrenting kinda make me nervous. I figured if a VPN is cheap, why not?

Thanks senpai, I'm working with a friend of mine building a game in Unity in my part time, but I'll give FP a bash as well.
Are functional languages useful for careers? I'm in NZ and pretty much everywhere I look at is either webshit, c# or java.

Well that's just rude. Kudos for trying to help though.

gist.github.com/joepie91/5a9909939e6ce7d09e29

thanks for the info. worse camera quality due to different camera app, I guess. does this mean lineage can't use the dual cameras properly? bit of a waste if the 2x optical zoom doesn't work as intended.

yeah, figured as much. was mostly curious about any hardware features that would stop functioning, like the s-pen features on galaxy notes.

I'm not sure specifically if lineage won't be able to use the dual cameras, but I think the issue is that on lineage there is some standard camera api that devices use that isn't optimized for your specific device. Would be a good idea to check out the XDA thread for your phone and see if anyone's talked about the camera at all.

>any hardware features
Depends on how custom they get, and how locked down the hardware features are. Best thing to do is find the corresponding XDA thread for the rom and check through it.

oh yeah, good idea. I'll do that, thanks.

> Are functional languages useful for careers?
Yes, very much so since concurrency / parallelism is essentially all about FP, even if they don't necessarily make it as "pure" as Haskell for example is aiming for.

Even just Apache Spark (written in Scala, also backed by Akka) is rather amazingly dominant.

I don't know about jobs in NZ, though.

Should I trust a VPN less than the ISP that spams me relentlessly and randomly jacks up my rates without telling me? I'm networking-retarded, all I'm saying is that my ISP does some sketchy shit.

Does anyone here own a Samsung SGH-A157 flip phone? The screen on mine stopped working and I need to transfer my contacts to the sim card, but I don't know the exact button sequence to do so because lmaonoscreen.

Pic related, it's the model phone I'm talking about.
