For real though liquid metal is about as good as it can possibly get next to actually soldering the heatsink to the CPU/GPU die itself.
HOWEVER this is only needed on intel processors as part of the delid job even on "soldered" i9 chips. On AMD ones you can just use AS5 and call it a day.
Regarding fagbooks even using liquid metal on the bare dies won't help keep it from throttling to 1ghz under load due to aplel putting 45W chips on a thin chasis with 15W of cooling.

In Acer with 35W AMD furnace chink laptop I used cheap silicon grease, and temps were OK, while on MBA temps with stock paste (which looks suspiciously like intel thermal cum, and has same properties as low-end paste) were horrible, but with AS5 is it cool somewhat.

if you look at thermal transfer speed, diamond pretty much tops the list of non-exotic and nontoxic substances. that's some pretty expensive paste though. I have no idea why someone doesn't make a cpu heatsink base out of an ounce or so of silver. buypigs would snap that shit up to go with their bling ram.
