No. Vim is far ahead of it.

They probably don't do as much as Sublime but there are good libre text editors like Geany or CudaText

Unironically this OP.
I'd never imagine saying this few months ago, but have the patience to learn Vim and it will change your world.

Sublime is the best of all the GUI text editors tho

a riced out vim is better

for example?

>Sublime is the best of all the GUI text editors tho
wrong. many extensions are shit and unmaintained. vscode is 10x better and just works.
also nobody edits C and asm grandpa.

Vscode is good enough
Intellij suite for bloated stuff

fpbp as usual.

Atom is free and has a bunch of plugins

Vim definitely has an advantage due to its touch-typing environment. However, if you want something more akin to an IDE then Atom or Sublime is a wiser choice, all those plugins just to get modern features is a bit retarded imo. At that point either switch to NeoVim or use Atom.

>*crashes after loading anything larger than 5MB*
heh. nothing personnel, kid.

emacs

For an IDE, atom is by far the best. Not only is it free software but it has integrated git support.

Atom is trash tier, almost puked when I tried it.

>for an IDE
no

vscode is incredibly slow and convoluted. sublime is streamlined and fast, even on my x61

I'm sure nobody else notices because everyone nowadays has 8gb ram and ssds and whatnot but it's still shit software

>vintage mode

I would so take that egg, if you knew what I mean haha

>basedblime text

>writing Arduino code
>Based
Yikes

It might be slow on old machines, but boy is it comfy

>toy cars are just as good as real cars!

it's for babies but probably better than VSChode

Long time Sublime Text user and fan. Once I was forced to use VSCode, never went back.
VSCode is really nice with vim plugin, on a decent machine performance is comparable with Sublime Text.
I don't really understand why it uses Electron tho, it's not like Microsoft doesn't have the resources to use proper GUI framework (e.g. Qt)

vis is not superior to sublime, the only way it is superior is writing text.

Kek

The emacs operating system is superior

emacs > vi of any flavor > everything else

Is there any way to use some vim variant with normal keybindings?
At least Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v, Ctrl-x and Ctrl-f.

>tfw my company only lets me use notepad++

>git support.
Who even uses that stuff? Just get a terminal and be done with it

Visual studio code is better

I have nothng against sublime per se but this screenshot looks so fuckng awful I can't even tell whether it's bait or not

>tfw my company forces us at gunpoint to code exclusively in powerpoint

The ping pong table in the breakroom is nice though

emacs and vscode with vim keybindings are the GOAT.

I'm forever torn between these two

Thus seems common, I switch between emacs and vscodium depending on the situation

ignore the vim/emacs autists. Sublime Text is unparalleled.
