Have to wait until mid 2019 to upgrade my CPU to ryzen2

>have to wait until mid 2019 to upgrade my CPU to ryzen2
>have to wait until q4 2019 to upgrade my GPU to navi
>have to wait until 2020 for DDR5

When does the waiting end?

>just upgraded everything last week
>don't care about the perpetual "just around the corner" upgrade cycle
feels good

have fun with PSP. all of g should be using the $50 fx-8350. it's fast, and has the best/price/performance ratio on passmark.

Why does it matter? You aren't doing anything noteworthy with your current hardware, and won't do anything noteworthy with the next generation of hardware either

Whenever I’m waiting for new releases I try to experiment and make the dumbest computers possible i.e piss cooling(I shit you not)

actually waiting for them to confirm that it's on the new stuff
wish they'd release a series without it
even on 14nm is fine

>tfw 390 and 6700k with no reason to upgrade sans navi

Still using an antec 900 too

8370 and 9590 are also good but they have such a high tdp for the minimal performance increase that 8350 is better
its on all Ryzen technology
have fun with IME

with the huge shrink and that IO die shit, I need to confirm
could be moved to the IO die and there could be some way to disable it

IME?

>When does the waiting end?

never

>it's $100 in Denmark

And I even have a mobo and 7990 for it for a "retro" (late win 7, I'm trying to go for every generation since PS/2) build..

>bought a ryzen 1700
Probably won't upgrade for several years.

The eternal ayymd wait

you're too far gone. skynet will make good use of you.

wait for PCIe 5.0 and JOLED

On the AMD train, the wait never ends

if the jump on perfomance is just as good you should have waited

as said, you're probably not going to do anything of value with the hardware (i.e. produce anything). It's e-peen, keeping up with the Joneses but for nerds.

Go out and make something.

Also, since Moore's laws basically been dead for 5 years, you're not going to see huge performance gains.

I'm still waiting for significant upgrade from i5-2500k

Same. I'm hoping the 3000 line from AMD will be it, I feel bad for all modern games pushing this guy to 100% usage.

Feels good having a 9900k with a 2080 and having no reason to wait for AMD'S new housefires.

Having a housefire 9900k instead of cheapboii ryzen 2700k or Le delidded 5ghz + 8700k
>2080 not ti
Lmao poorfag

>tripfag
>hot CPU
>not a housefire
>7nm will have core counts Intel can only get with 400w tdp

Nigger

Never
Wish I got a 1080 Ti I'm not very buying midrange Vega 56 or 1080 for 3-5k ever again
Sick of 1080p

Hey OP, I fully understand you.
I was waiting since the beginning of 2018.
Watching all tech news, reading forums and leaks and whatnot.
Constantly anticipating the "just around the corner" tech.

I realized they're all fucking huge fat fucks and tomorrow never comes.

I pulled the trig on 2600 + 2060 couple of weeks ago, I feel free and cozy.
If I was gonna wait one more second I'd off myself.
Don't off yourself.

i just bough rtx 2060 i dont give a fuck

ltlry me, god if feels good

Navi? Radeon VII will be here next week! AMDrones unite!

That's not Amada Kokoro and I refuse to acknowledge this mascot.

Don't be so picky man.

This is extremely important.

Very nice!

>JUST wait

>last build was when 4670 Haswell just dropped
>just did a new build now with 2600x
>next build probably won’t be for another 5yrs again
Only reason I’m even upgrading is because I’m interested in streaming and my little 4670 just doesn’t have the guts to stream more cpu intensive games. Otherwise she still chews up anything thrown at her.
Only upgraded gpus as needed. 660 into 1060 6gb into 1080ti, and even the 1080ti was only because I got it cheap and wanted to try 1440p gaming

Or I could buy a used i5 and get 3x the performance.

When you die.

Not because you don't have a reason to wait for hardware any longer, but because death was the real thing you were unconsciously waiting for all along.

there's always a "jump on performance" waiting to happen, shitforbrains

guns are not work safe
