Why don't people create websites anymore?
Remember those comfy days of Homestead, Geocities, Angelfire?
What year did people transition from creators to consumers? Is the same level of creativity still there just people moved onto sites like Youtube and Facebook?
Was it the emergence of blog sites like Livejournal that killed off website creating? Will we ever have another golden age like it again?
Why don't people create websites anymore?

I'm curious, how many blogs did you follow back in the day?
sites like twitter, instagram etc fulfill people’s desire for self expression and to “have a page on the internet”
Because everything has been centralized to places like Facebook.

>every website "under construction"
>downloading jpegs took time
>impossible to find accurate info because no wikipedia, and all search engines are shit
>having to code the site for each popular browser because they all handle html differently
>using kazaa to download nirvana_-_smells_like_teen_spirit.mp3.exe and it was like 5mb and took over half an hour to d/l
>playing games on msn messenger, then some cunt keeps "nudging" you
>getting an impossibly high score in solitaire only for no-one to believe you
