Efficiency is measured in Performance per watt, not just watts in prime. The 9900K may consume more power but it also solves the prime calculations much faster, making it more efficient

Avx workloads can happen quite frequently and for days if you render, or encode/transcode staff.
The bottom line is that you buy a psu based on those 230watts, you buy a cooler based on those 100 degrees C, you calculate your electricity bill based on it. ...and then talk about the longevity of a piece of silicon pushed to the limits, stressing the vrms, just to be a few fps faster than a cpu cruising down the road.

If you want 2% - 5% more FPS on games, then the Intel chip is worth it. If you want %5 - %15 more performance on everything else, and only several FPS behind in gaming, get the Ryzen (but wait for Zen 2/Ryzen 3000). Buying Intel is stupid, imo, because it only has an advantage in gaming and literally nothing else, and its advantage in gaming is marginal. I just don't know why you would spend so much extra money on so little performance.

Ryzen is honestly just the Budget-friendly gaming option. Hell, I have a 2600 and I cannot tell you how much I am grateful for getting one instead of getting a 1600x. Ryzen has shown me that AMD can do well. I do own a Novideo 1070, but next GPU I get will definitely be a Radeon. I can count on that.

I can see massive diference between 50/60hz. If shit is not progressive scan I would probably have seizures looking it too long. Also, 1 hz is one cycle per second, it means it takes a second each cycle. So 60hz takes 1/60 of a second for each cycle, them 165hz a cycle takes only 6ms to happen. So +10hzs in 50/60hz have a whole different impact than the +21Hz in 144/165hz. And 1Hz doesn't necessarily means 1fps if all this shit isn't synchronized.

If you want more smooth movement you should double, triple or quadruple your pixels idiot. What's the point of displaying a pixel 150times and then turn it of and move to the next one in a 1080p monitor?
Those 2 pixels would divide the movement into 2 sections.
In a 4k monitor that point will have 4 pixels to move. That's smoother.
