Flanally realized my G40 was too hot than it should be and went in to replace the more than a decade old thermal paste. I believe this connector is what powers the backlight. I tried to remove it as gently as humanly possible but it fuckin snapped out. I just soldered it back in place and BURGLE AVERTED (but for how long?). Anyone else have problems with older ThinkPads being brittle? My T23 fucking yeeted everywhere after I dropped it from about 5 feet and it had to be scrapped.
