>thank you for applying! Let's schedule an interview ASAP this week, please tell me dates and times that work for you
>tell them
>ghosted

>in university
>get recommended for part-time tech support job in hipster ruby on rails webshop by coworker who used to work there besides uni
>have some experience because I do that stuff in uni right now anyways (not RoR though fuck that)
>get a nice tour of their office
>talk to them this and that
>we'll let you know :)
>don't hear back for two weeks
>write an email
>lol we picked someone else

findout where they live and burn their house down
submit another app
report them for discrimination
call them back
just show up outta the blue and tell the receptionist you have an interview

srsly just do something other than complain on the 4channel

That's nothing I once got a job , only to work there one day and everyone including me getting laid off right after that.

>go to an interview
>get a call back as soon as I get home
>You are hired!

Kek tell us more

>have no social skills
>got the virgin look in your eyes
Not gonna make it.

trying to get a decent programming job as a currently jobless bum is a garbage chute
get into a company in a position that does some sort of computer-related work (especially anything involving excel) and move up when developer positions open
companies check internally first before they hire externally
and you dont have to quit for it, if you get turned down then oh well and if you get promoted you still have the "employee loyalty" built up from the time you worked there before

>go to interview
>alright well call you later and let you know
>get home
>get call
>Im going to have to decline
>pass charisma speech check
>take her out for dinner

Well not much else to tell it was a warehouse and I was basically suposed to keep stuff neat, sweeping, moving pallets out of the way, clearing packaging/plastic, making stuff a bit more neat in general with the specific item stacks. The boss guy was actually nice but yeah just worked one day of "training" aka just a normal day, but then someone above him was like "lay off everyone" Whatever I kept the nice work gloves I got there and still use them for stuff like outside yard work at home. Least I got paid for the one day.

>don't show up for interview
>get hired anyway

Attached: d3e.png (672x787, 930K)

>give firm handshake
>get hired
>didn't even ask for a job
EZ

>Finish university
>Make 100+ applications to a wide range of companies for a wide range of jobs
>"Thank you for your application..."
>No word from them again
>Get with some agencies
>No contact from them either
>Fuck this
>Join the forces

>Manual Labour
What are you even doing here?

Your first problem was gping to uni in Finland

>apply for a job
>agency take details, arrange meeting in a few days, says will send details
>they dont send details
>they haven't confirmed time, date, they just said bring ID, i dont even know who im looking for or what the hells going on
>turn up to public area for chat as agreed over phone anyway
>they still havent contacted me
>wait... no emails, no calls
>wait... no emails, no calls
>ah fuck this
>leave
>8:24am next morning, agency call me
>wtf?
>stare at phone till it stops ringing
>phone agency back later in day
>"one sec, the contact is available, what was your name?"
>"user anonson"
>"... im sorry they've just gone back on the phone, can they call you back?"
>"ok, sure, thanks bye"
>they didnt call

guess im not getting a job through that company
what did they want me to do?
just walk around asking strangers - are you here to meet me?
im laughing at this whole situation and also going wtf... should I have called them for confirmation?

It was the UK
2014:
>Go to uni to get a good job!
2019:
>Go to trade school to get a good job!
I've been bamboozled. At least it was fun.

>Finish university
>Get accepted for interview 2 weeks after
>Pass the interview and pass training becoming an IT consultant
>3 years consultancy work at same company
>They bring me in permanently
>Salaried for £62,000 + bonuses 3 years after uni
>3 years after that currently at £85,000 + bonuses
>work 4 day week (2 days in office 2 days at home)
FeelsGoodMan

>go to an interview
>get the job
>have to go to the same place every day with people I hate doing the same thing for a company that doesn't care about me whilst other people benefit from my labour more than I do
>for the rest of my life

could be worse OP

>make fat stacks and accumulate visa
>make fat stacks from visa
>accumulate retirement
>??????????
>beaches

Actually happened to me

It was the only thing I could get. :(

>It was the UK
Lmao some shitskin is doing your job for half the salary you would've found acceptable.

A hiring manager once told me off the cuff that they don't hire people who are currently unemployed or seem desperate or nervous during their interviews, because these candidates tend to be huge liabilities that will most likely hide their mistakes and then lie out the ass about them to keep their jobs, which is far worse than simply fessing up about a momentary lapse of judgement.

Hate this loop. Can't get a job without experience, can't get experience without a job.

>being such a brainlet that you can't even finish college
Would've killed myself, to be quite honest.

Actually I did finish college.

>can't get friends if you're a creepy loner
>can't not be a creepy loner without friends
>can't get friends if you're depressed
>can't escape depression all alone
>can't get a gf if you can't relate to women
>can't relate to women without having a gf
Welcome to the danger zone, motherfucker !

>wasting years of your life on a college degree only to end up doing labor work
Yikes ! Would've necked myself.

Well we mostly referring to jobs here, not relationships.

Because it's my fault that the job market sucks around here?

>im laughing at this whole situation and also going wtf... should I have called them for confirmation?
no, fuck those people

if they were serious they'd have dealt with you proper

that's not how to deal with a client/customer, ditch them and leave a negative review

>go to interview 9am-10:30am
>they tell me they have two more people to interview this afternoon
>call comes at midday
>I got the job
>at least one of the two other interviews got straight up cancelled
Felt very good.

>be neet
>applied to 20 warehouse jobs
>got 10 interviews
>can't even get a fucking warehouse job because no experience
>they keep telling me they'll call me back
>they never do
>anytime i try to call their HR they won't answer my messages or they're "in a meeting"
>got fired the one time I got hired through an agency after the first day because i didn't know how to use a pallet jack or how to lift it

Attached: kill self.jpg (633x758, 44K)

Maybe you still should user.

Based. mine is different
>Go to interview
>get home 20 minutes later
>email saying I didn’t get the job.

Suck a few dicks for forklift training and pallet truck training, then you'll be set.

thats dumb

>only hiring people who don't want or need to work
Great logic

>friend of mine changes job
>recommends me
>I get an interview and during it I realize they didn't even read my resume

I'll keep you guys updated.

>Job interview on Friday
>If I don't get it, not sure how much longer I can mentally cope with my current job

you're on Jow Forums, have you tried becoming a webdev or are you a C purist

Are you me? I decided to eat the neet pill for a while and try freelance if my next interview doesnt land me a job.

they're probably desperate

>internship interview
>first interview is a phone interview
>do well, schedules an in person interview
>instead of it being in one of the multiple large buildings, the manager wants to meet with me at a Panera Bread on a Saturday morning
>go and interview well. ~2 hours, get the internship

i’m still an intern part time until i graduate in a few months. lucky me got to stay after summer with them since i’m not totally brain dead

this is 60% of job interviews

No he's not he's making more than what user would've settled for

>go to first "impression" interview (just to get to know you, nothing technical/job related)
>get called 2h later for the next one
>next interview
>at the end get asked "what would you do if you got the job"?
>"would invite my parents to a restaurant"
>"Then you should do that"
And that's how I got my place in the dual university program for business informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik).
Only pays 45k€/year but a permanent
employment contract is guaranteed. 40h/week with flexitime.

I don’t understand this. I have literally never had a face to face interview and not gotten an offer. Are you motherfuckers just that uncharismatic?

This is literally the only thing that happens to me when I have a f2f. I literally had a guy tell me that he didn’t just tell me in the interview room because he didn’t want to sound too eager.

Kek. Took me a minute

>you're this old and you've never had a job user!?
>rejects me because no experience
What kind of evil prick made this a requirement for entry level jobs?

lie

bookmarking this thread
hoping for another call back in the morning relating to
at this point i want to fuck with them like they did to me

Don't they usually try to call the manager of the places you've "worked" before though?

wait you've literally never had any kind of job at all? HR likes that your working even if it has nothing to do with the job youre applying to. It shows you havent just been sitting around all day and actually went out of your way to get a paycheck.
>but muh projects
They're great to have but if it comes down to choosing two guys with projects both relating to the job and one of them held a job Mcdonalds for two years straight, the patty flipper is getting the job

damn

I have never worked a day in my life.

>wait you've literally never had any kind of job at all?
Yeah
>HR likes that your working even if it has nothing to do with the job you're applying to
>It shows you havent just been sitting around all day and actually went out of your way to get a paycheck
Well how the hell can I do this if nobody will give me a chance to do anything?

freelance and defunct companies

I'll try that and see what happens, thanks user.

>get an interview
>its a 60 hour a week telemarketing job

Here user, you'll need this

Attached: kysguide.jpg (800x563, 240K)

>not getting contracts offered left and right before graduation
>not getting paid to study
>not graduate with a full contract and career under the belt
Yep, this is what being a CS brainlet feels like

Why didn't you do everyone a favour and shank him then and there? The only good hiring manager is a dead one.

I'm at 120 applications out right now with about 10 declines and 4 interviews scheduled

Real interviews or phone interviews? Phones dont count

You're gonna have to take a shitty job for awhile.

The only shitty jobs you can get with no experience are ones that pay about half minimum wage, and they don't count.

Yes, that's how job hunting works this day. Try again you brainlet.

nice user, now just dont screw up

The fuck can’t you use a pallet jack, it’s literal basic fucking sense. Push handle down, jack goes up. A monkey could do it

>Phones dont count
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's simple user. Next time they try and pull that shit with you, PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE TILL THEY STOP MOVING. After they're dead the remaining employees will thank you, help hide the body, and hire you on the spot. Everyone hates disgusting HR scum.

Idk man, have you tried not being a awkward weirdo?

kek

Real talk here: if you don't currently have a job then nobody will ever hire you. Your only option is self employment. Start a microbusiness user. It's your only chance.

Where do you live? Here in the east coast its piss easy to find shitty jobs that pay minimum wage. Dishwashers are always in demand since people quit so often

>tfw make less than 20k a year
AHHHHHHH

I don't take advice from sociopaths.

feels bad being a third worlder

isn't there a website for remote dev jobs from the U.S.?

happened to me for my first job
it was mcdonalds

I live in sydney, unskilled jobs require certifications or experience

Good answer, I'm going to steal that one.

I went to an interview and they asked if there's anything they could do better and I told them there are 7 errors on their web page, and it uses apache which is absolutely garbage and the list went on and on. I also explained why things were bad and alternatives. They never called me back because they knew if I worked there I'd not only make them all look bad, but all my time would be fixing their shit instead of fixing their clients shit.

Why are you even here, then?

>feels bad being a third worlder
But user, I'm in the US

I'm here forever.

Don't worry, gookmoot will take care of that

>implying

no work place limits themselves to a single interview, as you shouldn't either.
You should (if looking for employment) be looking at doing multiple interviews a week, minimal.

literally how it used to be.. in the good days

Meh

similar happened with my IT job. got a call 4 hours after the interview about getting the job

Are you white?

>went to interviews
>they called back
>hung up

yea
