Ahh, Norton Commander. Now THIS was a good way to navigate your files

yup, loved it.

i still use Total Commander

This but unironically and supplemented by GNU Midnight Commander on my *nix machines.

Ghost Commander is great on Android. Midnight Commander becomes a lot better when combined with FUSE tools like curlftpfs and sshfs.

Wonderful times. Then TC came and the world was a lovely place again.
Mein nigger, let me buy you a beer. Currently using a modified version called TC Essentials with a bunch of tools, pretty useful for everyday.

FreeCommander > TotalCommander

I've been using GNU Midnight Commander since I switched to GNU/Linux back when Windows 98 was popular and I really don't know anything remotely close for efficiency when selecting a bunch of files and moving them back and forth. I guess I got used to the Norton Commander back when MS-Dos was trendy.

I was using DOS in a 80826 in 1991. 4yrs old, spent hours watching my brother using that stuff and typing commands so using it was easy for me at that age.

i'm 15 and I used unix before you were even born nigger

Attached: the boomer pill.png (1600x835, 763K)

Just use FAR manager.

ranger and mc are unironically great file managers

Attached: 1548373736736.gif (633x640, 140K)

i genuinely never install a file manager on any *nix operating system

the shell does everything i need

vifm is better than ranger

FAR manager

This.

You mean navigate your filesystem.
It's a file manager.
