can underestimate loudness of music if you need to turn it higher than surrounding noise if you have a set that doesn't isolate enough (needs for sound masking).
A well isolating set will have you enjoy the music at much lower volumes.
If you listen to music in public places that are noisy consider something like the Q35.
They are not the most well received among audiophiles but a set with ANC is as optimal as it gets if you don't like IEMs.

Don't even consider open headphones for public use. You can theoretically listen to them at volumes where other people won't be able to hear the leaking noise, but you won't enjoy the experience because you would need to crank the volume much higher to actually listen to it well.

if my hd660s aren't broken i don't know what the fuck this is. people are retarded if they think hd660s is better than either hd600 or hd650 or have more higher freqs
i have referenced with some sounds i created that sound great on 7 different headphones in their own way, and great on speakers/monitors
then i listen to the same sounds with hd660s and it sounds shit. especially weapon fire sounds extra shit with these. it seems it doesn't handle very loud and instant transients at all with bass. it turns all kicks into splats if that makes any sense
