It's updates are mandatory. It doesn't have hypervisor functionality and a bunch of other stuff. They lock the group policy editor as always (the primary way of configuring windows). They make it impossible to disable windows defender without it for instance.
It goes so far that some software I run recommend you don't run it on home edition. I'm unclear on what they are asking for specifically.
You need damn good reasons to stay on home edition. If you want windows get the other versions.

The fact that you are asking means it will work perfectly fine for you, better than any other OS likely. Even if you do like to dabble in linux odds are you just want to browse the internet and play games which win 10 is best for. Unless you are running weird software that requires lots of permissions or modding lots of windows files youre wasting your time. That said Education is the best version as it has no bloat on top of offering all the features of pro/enterprise AFAIK
