> I LEGIT WANT TO BUY THIS.
Buy it then. Don't wait for reviews.

>buy it

nice joke

Attached: w8FDl5e.png (357x545, 65K)

If this is legit on par with the 2080 I will buy this.

1080ti is way cheaper

>599 for 2080 performance
damn AMD

The drivers will improve over time and trounce the 1080ti. Just wait.

It will definitely age better than the 1080ti or 2080 due to more memory and bandwith

Get the fuck out of here kid.

Thats not Linus

OH NO NO NO NO NO

>70w compared to 2080
it's nothing.

wooooooooooooooow
the only thing we knew for sure right from the beginning. what a shocker.

good goy

woah even german dudes?
why did they market it for gaming? it would do well as quadro substitute for 3d modeling

It does well in big name titles and is shitty in unoptimized indie shit

Attached: sqCgqxQ.png (1416x791, 308K)

it is, but buying 2080 performance for this much money seems wasteful

>beats 2080 even with unoptimized drivers

Okay so why are novidiots claiming victory here exactly?

Attached: 1548504697690.png (382x491, 78K)

as usual driver issue, looking at other games it's like they targeted 2080 directly and tried to get to 2080 as close is possible and then stopped because deadline or something

>Buy it then.

>uh-oh TDP
>uh-oh shit drivers
>uh-oh loud

linus is up

youtube.com/watch?v=alhEgNvzv50

yeah day juan reviews are mostly shit. i wanna see some undervolted/tweaked cards now.
699$ is crap tho

Wait for driver fixes and conclusive overclocking results when they can actually be overclocked properly.
Productivity results are very good though, did anybody say anything about SR-IOV?

>beats 2080
Uh, it doesn't though? It performs slight worse, uses significantly more power and is significantly louder. For the same price.
There is no reason to buy it.

>slight worse

Only if you count jank shit like fornite and world of tanks as legitimate benchmarks.

i call BS on those day one drivers. no way that big V-2 performs this shit at a Vulcan game

Attached: Screenshot_2019-02-07-15-20-29.png (1080x1920, 453K)

>i don't like these games so they don't count
Mate, get a grip.

WoT literally only now has multi threaded support.

>$600
>2080 performance
>16GB of VRAM
>Bleeding edge node
is AMD even going to profit from this? wtf

>Throwing in a Vulkan game no one ever heard about to skew the results in AMD's favor

Yikes

Yes. Some games it wins, in unoptimized titles it doesnt. Look at quality optimized games like RE2.

Loudness is bad but the tdp is 1080ti level. Not awful.

Same. Its fuckig sad seeing hw unboxed shit on this while going light on the 350 2060 and its gimped vram.

>jet engine
>barely beats 2070

desu this is better than expected if it can already match the 2080 with shitty drivers things will get better soon and hopefully custom cards will allow some OC headroom too

>Barely even with 2080
>way more expensive
NVIDIA WINS AGAIN

>Radeon VII’s double-precision throughput is artificially limited to one-quarter of Radeon VII's single-precision rate. That's significantly better than the 1/16th-rate AMD originally claimed. But after we presented our original benchmark data to the company, AMD revised the card's specifications to acknowledge its pre-release VBIOS and drivers were already set to the higher 1/4 FP32 rate. As a result, Radeon VII offers higher peak FP64 performance than any other card in AMD's consumer line-up, and in fact only really trails Nvidia's pricier Titan V.

Thank you AMD for fucking up once again to gift us with unexpected gifts. This is basically 1/2 of Titan V FP64 at 1/4 price.

Bad goyim buy the 6gb 2060

price remains shit if it doesn't scratch the 2080ti. 2080 performance for 2080 price with higher flower draw isn't something to boast about m8

lmao it's super hit or miss

>lisa setting everyones expectations low to blow their minds with navi

It's OVER

AMD IS FINISHED

Attached: firefox_VH3TETqf8N.png (1952x926, 1.26M)

We've known it is a defective MI50 for ages.
Heck, the Titans are defective Quadros.

If only FP64 could be harnessed in more mainstream tasks.

The fucking cheek to release it at the same price as a 2080 when it performs worse overall

NO NO NO WTF THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO OBLITERATE THE 2080

Attached: relative-performance_3840-2160.png (500x770, 46K)

Attached: power_maximum.png (500x770, 46K)

nope
VII is an offcut from big boi compute cards, that's what AMD plans to profit from

>with unoptimized drivers
They were, are, and always will be unoptimized, you smelly fucking amdjeet. That's the way AyyMD works.
KYS

Goes against what GN and HWU got.

Because this average performance shit can be easily manipulated depending on what games you chose to benchmark.

Benchmark only GimpWorks titles and it will look like shit.
Benchmark well optimized games and it will look good.

>RX590 is between 1080Ti and 2080Ti
JUST STOP OVERCLOCKING THE CORE AND OVERCLOCK THE MEMORY FFS

Attached: 1504304759918.jpg (480x480, 59K)

Aren't they the same price?

JUST WAIT FOR NAVI!!

>muh drivers

You realize nvidia cards are the ones with poor scaling and aging now you fucking retard? Kill yourself dumb fuck memer.

>mfw bought used 1080ti for $500

Attached: 1548248552188.jpg (622x647, 75K)

OH NONONONO MY HOUSE IS ON FIIIIIIRE

I want to buy it.

I have a stock Vega 56 which is OK. But even I am disappointed by this heap of junk VII. Sell RTG now.

How do you manage to shrink to 7nm and still consumer more power AND get dabbed on performance-wise by a 1080 Ti from two years ago?

Attached: phew.jpg (737x797, 254K)

looks like a steal at that price

So no SR-IOV?

Attached: wendell_tek.jpg (1280x720, 73K)

Stop buying miners' depleted hardware, just buy new.

Because a big part of the rasterization improvements with NGG and primitive shaders still isn't active so the architecture can't reach its purported numbers and has a massive bottleneck. Greate for compute though.

>50+ dB fan noise when gaming

Jet engine confirmed

Here come the 290 blower memes again

>No Tensor
>No DLSS
>No CUDA
>No ML
>NO RAY TRACING

lol

navi is targeted for midrange

>memes
>memes
>ok
>memes
>memes
kek

>8GB
Lets see those numbers in 4 years lmao

It trades blows with the 2080 in games, and has basically no OC headroom, for the same price. It's not a great deal unless you use a specific program that needs a lot of memory/bandwidth.

because it's the same GCN trash for the last 8 years

>Dlss
>ML
>memes
stop posting wtf?

desu DLSS is less of a meme than raytracing, since it's far, far easier to retroactively add to games instead of needing to be done from the ground up. Tensor cores in general are way, way more useful than raytracing and have far more applications. Tensor + CUDA lets you do a fuckload of shit with AI. Although, adoption may be shit, as seen by vidya devs not even utilising CUDA's AI abilities completely.

cope

Im a bit of a brainlet. he says the 16gb vram is unnecessary but re2 remake can max out my 11gb of vram on my 1080ti. Is he wrong or is the extra 5gb really unnecessary?

>and have far more applications.
they don't. do you even know how simple tensor cores are? Google made them first try.

>vidya devs not even utilising CUDA's AI abilities
oh yes, let's waste several millions on dev time for 20% of the market while ignoring consoles built on AMD hardware to achieve absolutely nothing of value

>Thinking I mean breadth of commands rather than depth of *insert operation meme here* power for applications
Okay
>That second point
Now I know you're just being retarded on purpose. I almost actually wrote out a serious response to that, good job.

You see the stock asetek cooler for the W-3175X?

Does anyone else think that this has fine wine written all over it?
If I didn't already own a Radeon Pro, I'd be lining up to buy this.

cuda is irrelevant for gamedev, because AMD got monopoly on consoles, it's that simple. We'd have Nvidia features in every single game if they could land console deal.

>has fine wine written all over it?
no. it's throwaway product created solely to keep investors happy.
the only people who should buy this is the ones that need a card for work and can't afford quadro.

I agree, this is more of a beta launch than anything.
That 16gb buffer will give it great longevity too.

Im more interested in a NANO version for laptops.

Why the hell did AMD market it as a gamer card saying its comparable to a 2080 when they could have been honest about its strengths... ill never understand.
