Pencils are technology

You may not like it, but this is what peak mechanical pencil performance looks like.

Second place to the japs and their rotating mechanism.

No, this is peak performance

Redbull me on this.

oldskool mech pencil - had mine since primary school (late 70's/early 80's). Never fails, leads (1.2mm I think) are still easy to get and all parts are replaceable/interchangeable (got a new sharpener about a decade ago).
youtube.com/watch?v=RvLxJqduyl0

I used to take it to work but it got nicked (then retrieved by force).

>0.5 mm

All these leads are 2mm right?
honestly, why would you need anything else?

where my kuru toga gang at?

>not the 600
I own a lot of mechanical pencils, and the ones I keep using are the Zebra Delguard, Rotring 600, Pentel Graph 1000 for Pro and Tombow Mono Zero.

I have this, the short 0.7 Lamy, and one rotating mech that I never use. Ultimately I use the Lamy the most but that's cuz I've been "painting" more with graphite lately and like the fatter lead.

I wanted to get into 2mm but my sharpener leaks dust like a champ so it stays at home mostly.

>2mm
You are right.

fucking autismos discussing about pencils kys

Love my pencil

I know Jow Forums won't agree, but this is what actual peak performance looks like.

Attached: 67256.jpg (600x400, 18K)

I use a pen because I'm no longer in grade school.

Attached: 1525649111689.jpg (1200x804, 60K)

zebra m301 0.5mm is amazing
it has lasted me years now
the only problem is that the ink is wearing off of the part that says the name of the pencil

Attached: m301-.5.jpg (616x356, 14K)

>Breaks after one use
>eraser just smears the lead
>clip is always breaking
Go away retard

You may not be in grade school, but you still need to be 18 or over to be here.

I don't understand why the guard system exists. Then again I dont write heavy handed.

>not posting the OG yellow tikky 1
one job

Good luck trying to use that piece of shit for anything besides sticking it up your boipucci. In the professional world I only carry Mont Blanc, clients notice the pen and they trust me more to sign off.

Have you ever broken lead?

He was talking about production performance.

this, just like the humble plain pokéball is the best one

shut up nigger

>paying more than 1 dollar for a pen
quit larping nigger

Once in a blue moon, but not enough to really warrant a mechanism.

>he bought into the "Imma PROFESSIONAL" and doesn't realise what he percieves as kudos is akshully silent mocking for paying hundreds for a tool that literally costs cents....

m8, your "clients" are probably slightly less niggerish than you. Noice bling btw...

Attached: BLING-1.jpg (2400x3012, 309K)

If you were paying significantly more for it, sure.

I use .5 for drawing, and .9 for writing. The common .7 is terrible for either use.

Bought a pack of those and hated them, ended up picking up a Z905 on eBay

picture next to dictionary definition of over-engineered

Kurutogas are way overrated.

Rate my collection. My overall favorite is probably the Alvin Draft/Matic

Attached: IMG_20190208_213108~01.jpg (4000x3000, 2.05M)

Graphgears are under-appreciated.

The M301 are a bit small, so I might look into the Z905

DelGuard, the lead never breaks and can be used until it's virtually non-existent.

Attached: Delguard.png (616x356, 52K)

It depends on the lead...
but maybe the lead that comes with it is really nice

Failing grade school isn't something to be proud of. Retard.

this is the comfiest. really nice build quality, nice weight. got me through engineering school.

Attached: 1430A509-944A-4F95-B413-D7873B2392C5.jpg (500x500, 34K)

My main problem was that they're too light. Also the Z905's eraser is retractable, you just twist the metal part

Assuming I use a basic standard refill, is there a difference between those cheap chink clicky mech pencil and all these here? They have more heft/weight i suppose?

What kind of retard still uses paper? Literally the only reason I'm still able to write by hand is because every once in a while I have to scribble my initials on a receipt.

People in school

There's a chink novelty store near me that sells exact replicas of these for 2 dollars

>Still being in school
How does it feel to both be a zoomer and to have to still use paper? Were I in your position I'd be showing up to class with parchment and quills just to mock the teachers.

came here to post this. literally bought 2 on aliexpress... should be arriving any day

I'm a millennial. I wish I had to use paper more, school's so fragmented online it's ridiculous. Some teachers communicate through email, some through the schoolwide homework site. Some classes use the homework site, most use sites provided by the textbook publisher that you need buy a $100 access code to actually use. I have four different publisher homework sites I need to go to depending on what class I'm in.

Nice bootleg bro. "Rotring", what the fuck kind of language is that?

Attached: original design do not steal.jpg (2592x1456, 938K)

Create a protonmail address then tell your teachers to stop being retarded and create an email distribution list for the entire class.

>Not using a fountain pen for "serious" note taking...

Attached: 1527431441955.png (424x657, 416K)

They are thinkpads of pencils, cheap and last forever.

And yeah, BIC has good erasers on these pencils.

Muh daughter setup/organised a dropbox/onedrive account for all her separate classes. I dug up all her texts on libgen etc. and they're there.

There are ways around the closed source ed. sites (campion etc.)
>view source or inspect using devtools and find the document

Homework sites are just it - tell your teachers you can't afford subscription and need the pdf or at least handouts (teachers can photocopy a percentage)

>t. dad and former primary school teacher.

mechanical pencils are for homosexuals use a real wooden pencil

how about you use a real dick instead of a dildo, faggot?

imagine being this gay

I also have a draftmatic and I love it. I use it at work

That has never worked ever in college/university. I saw kids try that and the teacher just told them to withdraw.
I do agree I prefer paper for learning. There's something about paper that helps me retain the information better.

90% of homework sites are forced on the professor. College education is the biggest network of scams imaginable.

I was talking about primary/high school.

If uni lecturers and tutors are essentially turning people away because they can't afford expensive subscriptions then really it's a sad case.

Then again I'm guessing this is in Burgerland where PAYG education is the norm and it honestly wouldn't surprise me to hear that college professors were taking kickbacks from edu sites.

Case in point
>muh daughter has to access stileapp for subject
>enable r-click, view source, ctrl+f "documentcloud"

Literally about 20 sec. work.

Attached: Origin.jpg (548x687, 166K)

all of these look super uncomfortable to hold. Why are there so many sharp corners at the ends? round that shit off

Pic related, Staedtler graphite 777, lasted me whole highschool

>staedtler

yikes

I picked up a noname .7 pink pencil someone threw or lost near the main entrance of my high school and it's still working fine after 12 years of regular use

I cum every time I retract the tip and hear the CLICK. So satisfying.

It's for writing with 0.3mm

Kiririn post armpits

education crap is such a scam

I had to learn this the hard way. Uni course coordinator advising us to buy book x, y and Z. Each of them costing €100. I obliged during the first semester. We barely used these books and the I was getting great grades going over the lecture handouts

the next semester, I downloaded the PDFs.

Look I'm not promoting piracy. but I strongly disagree with the pricing scheme of these books.

Pencils are for homosexuals, real man use chalk.

this is not a book thread
it sounds like you learned the correct lesson though

Most high schools provide the books for you in America, and some teachers even upload PDF copies of shit on Google drive. College professors, 9/10 times are just there for a paycheck.
