Why do high refresh 1440p+ displays plagued with issues? When will we get quality panels??

>buying cheap shit
spend more and you'll get something with less issues, not all panels are made the same.

The OP picture is the most expensive 1440p IPS 144hz display

high refresh monitors are shit for picture quality. gaymen don't care though

IPS is dogshit

are you a TN faggot?

Okay, first of all, these dark screen tests are a meme
never had any IRL problems thanks to light bleed

There's 0 difference between my old Ultrasharp and my new XB271HU
luckily got a perfect panel.

I am still waiting for OLED. Any day now...

OLED is gay
mLED is the future

>IPS
Buy VA for the superior contrast ratio and no panel glow. Upgrade to microLED when it is commercially available. Fuck OLED burn-in!

loool

Its the new optronic ah-va panel that has been giving these issues the most. Personally I deal with it since IPS glow is still a thing and because mine didn't turn out so bad.

>buy va for the superior contrast ratio and no panel glow
Gayyy, it still sucks massively in response times (sometimes to the point of being able to see the change in dark colors on screen) and has a worser viewing angle compared to an ips panel. If you aren't also looking at center on, like a tn panel, then the sides will suffer considerably in quality. Its really pick your poison, with tn being the worst of them all.

lol at buying anything but the XB271H in 2019

Legit, there's glow in my Ultrasharp but it's not at all apparent when I'm watching movies or playing games, even in the dark scenes. No bloom or anything
I guess minimal glow/blb is a non issue
my brother's TN looks like literal shit though

>When will we get quality panels??
When you stop buying memes

Literally the same for me. I actually took a picture of my monitor to see how "bad" the glow is. But never really saw anything bad when viewing it from center or below when leaning back on my chair. Even then from the top it wasn't bad.

It's just another thing for imbeciles to shitpost about

>IPS
There's your problem.

kek this retard thinks it's about price

>Be me
>Get a $400 1080p monitor in 2012
>No dead pixels after 6 years of use
>Buy a new $400 1440p monitor in late 2018
>It comes brand new with a dead pixel
Even my Samsung laptop from 2012 doesn't have this issue

>one off thing
get it replaced, stop bitching.

>implying a single dead pixel is covered by the warranty
It's not

Well my local computer store loves me so they'll replace anything, I always get my hardware from them. If you got it online just chimp out on their social media and they'll relent.

these are all AHVA (ips) panels made by AUOptronics.
You need to see one of these screens in real life to determine if the backlight bleed is an actual issue (it isn't), as these kind of tests you see everywhere are a useless.

1440p is god tier, better ppi at 27" than you'd get with a 22-24" 1080p panel
cards these days can easily handle 1440p, everything looks much better and of course, 144hz has to be experienced to be believed. 60hz makes me puke now, legit get some sort of sickness from viewing it

So what other pathetic copes do TNfags have, now that IPS panels have 144hz?
>no 0.01ms latency!
>no 240hz!
face it scrubs, IPS is king.

My tn 240hz monitor doesn't have this problem

Your handlers won't get you one?

next year we will have hybrid displays that use 1080p va panels with 4k ips panel and 200+ dimming zones. this is the only future to fight against the oleds

>tripfag attention whore
You are a problem

>Not professional video/picture editor
>Buying IPS instead of VA

I left it on by mistake

>looking to buy a new monitor
>everything is a mixed bag
So, as far as I could discern, it goes like this, assuming similar price tags:
VA
>better contrast
>better refresh rates
>better delay
IPS
>better color accuracy
>probably the only one you'll find with true 10bit
I've tried looking for a true 10bit VA panel but can't seem to find one. I'm ignoring TN because fuck them.

inb4 dude just wait 5 years for x technology

>>better delay
>VA
>better delay
ARE you fucked in the head?

Va panels don't have a better delay whatever that means. Input lag is almost the same across tn, IPS and va. Whilst the response times on VA panels tend to be the worst there can be of all three.

>Buy IPS monitor
>turn off all the lights in my room
>up brightness to max
>take overexposed picture with my camera
>"Wow guys look how bad my backlight bleed is lol what is UP with this haha"
cant believe retards still fall for this

Attached: 902.jpg (680x544, 33K)

When do they generally introduce new monitors? The same models have been on sale for years.

>Input lag is almost the same across tn, IPS and va.
Why would you lie on the internet?

Attached: get VA for gaming they said, enjoy the ghosting and lag they said.jpg (1920x1080, 414K)

>crying about a monitor being 5ms instead of 1
gaymers are the fucking worst

>get bottom tier TN, get 6.5ms
>get entry level IPS get 10.45ms
>get entry level VA get 11ms
but obviously you mentioned this
>crying about a monitor being 5ms instead of 1
So let me put it this way to you, you can pay 5 times as much for a VA and get response times more than TWICE as slow.
But apparently price doesn't matter, motion clarity doesn't matter, response times don't matter.
And lastly
>gaymers are the fucking worst
Yes, I am sure all the people playing videogames should take advise from a fucko like you that actively hates their existence.
