update boys. just tested it and i can safely say in my test there is no negative impact from seeding from an external hd. turns out the dude leeching from me has really bad internet. whoda thunk it.

Yeah, it only matters if you really need speed, seeding from a home connection is entirely different from seeding from an SSD on a 10gb seedbox.
Lots of home connections won't even be faster than the HDD.
