Register a free account to the service it uses, get a free API key and enter it to the app. Without reg it can only query a few requests.

Netguard. It's the same thing as blokada but created by the guy that made xprivacylua
Isaac Perry
>It's the same thing as blokada No it's not. Where's the option to block ads and trackers regardless of what app they're on?
Jaxon Howard
It's not 100% free as some features need to be paid for Using it right now for the firewall coz I'm roaming and i don't need Google to fuck up my bill with their botnet data collecting faggotry and you can't use 2 vpn services at the same time, but i think blokada is easier to use
Jason Thomas
You're right, I was mistaken, although I do think the pro version has those features. Is there a way I can block all internet connections for certain system apps in blokada like I do on netguard?
Neither app works the same, they seem to be fundamentally different. Netguard does not have the features that Blokada has. Would be nice if you could use both at the same time but you can't since they both run as VPN services.

on the topic of android shit is microg even maintained? should I just give in to the nonfree gapps?
Andrew Wright
I use DAVx5 (formerly Davdroid) for contacts synchronization. Works pretty good.
Leo Miller
Just a heads up on MicroG. It’s not an alternative but just a rewrite of the service to connect to Gapps. At that point who cares? If you want to use google you’re already fucked anyway.
Just yesterday I flashed a 7.1 pajeet rom on my tf300 tablet. Runs faster than the previous pajeet 4.2 one, doesn't have any google crap either. I didn't bother with pico gapps or microG. Just rom and superSU. It's amazing how it works better than when it was stock, 6 years ago. Doesn't matter anyway, it's basically an ebook reader and Clover machine for bed. -Adaway -AFwall+ -Red Moon -Book Reader -Newpipe -Clover -Yalp -Amaze -Fennec
