well for starters we live on towns that
1)have far better quality index than california
2)its x3 times LESS cheaper
3)have FREE healthcare
4)public transport actually WORKS
5)we can save quite a lot more amount of money out of our paycheck
6)we live on the biggest trade union (now with japan) that this planet has ever seen

American here how do I move to Europe?

Portugal seems comfy

Are those pre-tax or post-tax?

If those are all pre-tax then your post is irrelevant apart from #2, because you just pay for that shit with taxes anyway.

>2)its x3 times LESS cheaper
this. i can eat kielbasa while writing code feeling like a god and you literally cannot stop me having extremely comfy life of magnitudes higher quality than yours

yes the difference is americans also pay healthcare via taxes BUT also via their paychecks..
not to mention the price of drugs..

taxation is theft, brother

What the graph tells me is programmers in america are overpaid for having a blue collar job.

in EU you get free healthcare, vacation days, child benefits, pension and shitton of other benefits

in USA you cut your finger you pay 2k $ to get 2 stiches

>BUT also via their paychecks
Employer-sponsored health insurance is in addition to your paycheck, it's not deducted. So if you make 100k + health benefits, that's still considered 100k.

yes but still ITS IN YOUR PAYCHECK thats my point
its double trouble

>FREE healthcare
>*pays 70% taxes*

>2)its x3 times LESS cheaper
I got cancer reading this, but I agree. You also forgot the state-sponsored debt-free university education.

In the USA, with a halfway decent job (which programming would be) at a halfway decent employer, you get
>free healthcare
I pay basically nothing for healthcare, and again, that's something that in a free healthcare state you'd be paying for with taxes anyway, so you're not actually coming out ahead there.
>vacation days
What makes you think you don't get vacation days?
>child benefits
You can get those
>pension
401k matching.

The difference in the US is that you actually get to choose whether you want that shit. I don't have kids, so if I got to choose between 100k and child benefits or 120k and no child benefits, I'd be able to choose the latter.

What's your point?
We also don't pay for healthcare via taxes - that's only pays for healthcare for old/poor people and SSDI.

Cope, Amerilard

They still have more left than a söylent drinking silicone valley code artisan after paying his rent.

Attached: Penn-Jillette.jpg (280x290, 28K)

It's not even true if you don't cherrypick. There are places in the US where you can buy a decent sized house for ~20k. The only reason CA is so expensive is because people are paid so much there. Of course any country is going to look cheap in comparison to SF/Manhattan/etc.

>state-sponsored debt-free university education.
Which, again, you just pay for with taxes. It's not free, just deferred.

Nothing to do with programming it's just muttland earning inequality in general.

Attached: dod_educationpays.jpg (680x319, 77K)

no the paychecks in CA went up in accordance of the housing price
and it has really reached critical point nowdays because of the airbnb
ca is a fucking giant bubble in so many sectors that its not even laughable

amerifat cities are soulless

>Make less money
>Have higher tax rates

All Americans of value move to Europe because they're the 0.000000001% that understand that culture, good food, healthy lifestyle, and genuine people matter more than high numbers in a bank account
The only Europeans that go to America are either from lower class families who hate being in America but need to save a lot of money before returning home to save their family, people running away from their past, or greedy bastards

How does programming compare to engineering in Europe? Do you see the same trend?

I go to work each morning and don't see niggers.

>average
If only it was the median.
Eurofag here, we aren't being undercut by pajeets, it's the homeless yanks.

Their higher quality of life sure is suffering.

Developers in Europe also don't start their career with $150k student debt

>muh healthcare
>muh cost of living
I guess if you're a pleb, euro socialism will make sure you never starve by taking from everyone else but if you're average or above, US will always give you much more opportunity.

They live in better white countries

I'm amerikike btw

Attached: ff.jpg (1280x720, 46K)

I know right. They don't even have school shootings to motivate students in Europe

opportunity for what? be surrounded by dumb niggers and overweight mutts with pockets full of money? euros are not jews.

they don't have any other values besides money. they are soulless, sold out to god of money while denying evolution and that gender exists. everything degenerate comes from American. accident? i don't think so.

>its x3 times LESS cheaper
how is being more expensive a pro

Kek, I don't know who came up with those numbers, but I have a shitty php programmer job, but I already make MUCH more than those numbers.
Also, I didn't have to sell my soul to californian SJW overlords to get it. I got to keep my pride too. Wouldn't ever want to trade jobs even if those graphs were true.

>Ends up with more money anyway

How does that fare if you remove California where the cost of living is absurdly high?

good luck paying $30k when you break a finger or some mexcrement t-bones your and the insurance kikes drag on the payment until you die or go bankrupt and can't even afford to sure them anymore.

So why are Americans on this board constantly complaining they can't land a programming job?
In Europe anyone with 2 weeks of self taught web development can find a job easily.

>Americans so blind sighted by their own hubris they don't see the painful truth.
All the American bottom tier jobs have been offshored to pajeets, so only the best get to keep their job in America. No shit that brings up the average.
Europe has a lower average because they fly the pajeets in.

>can't spend it on anything

see (black) line one:

Because they refuse to leave their small town in the middle of nowhere

unless you gain 100k+ per year no your taxes are relatively below 40%
and still i will end up with a massive amount of savings

Eurofags have to pay into a socialist healthcare system. In short, they are paying for people who DON'T WANT to work. In the US we aren't forced into that kind of slavery so we enjoy better pay.

Don't you have food stamps and welfare too?

>Europe has a lower average because they fly the pajeets in.
No pajeets outside UK. None. The low end programming jobs are getting outsourced to poor aka eastern europe who then outsource to even more eastern europe.

t. low end german who lost his job 6 months ago to poles who lost their jobs this month to romanians.

this eastern yurop and especially russia is europe version of pajeets

How much an average software developer earns in Germany?

Depends. Codemonkey or high-qualified software engineeer?

>3)have FREE healthcare
How is this a bonus? My health care fee is like $800 a year and it's top notch, and I make 90k. I don't even live in SF, if I did I'd probably make twice that with similar healthcare. The only people who care about free healthcare are bums

This. Public healthcare sucks in most euro countries anyway

Something in between. That's why I used the word "average"

Well if user says so on Jow Forums it must be true!

>introduces colon cancer to the world
Sasuga euroshits. The healthiest way to poo is unironically to squat. Asian style squat/ground toilets are way better for you and you don't develop anemic legs thanks to your squatting. Most whities I know can't even squat to 90 degrees

50-60k

Isn't the US wage inflated by costal super salaries?

you probably get all of that at a high paying job in the states... except for as many vacation days

i work in document processing in the us and in my first year i accumulated over 100 paid vacation hours excluding holidays
if you decide to work a holiday (completely optional, they cant make you) you earn your base pay rate for 8 hours like everyone else does during the holiday, plus overtime pay for every hour you actually work during a holiday, so if i make $14 an hour usually on holidays i make $35

its a shit-tier dead end low-skill job and we also get the above in addition to good health insurance, retirement, life insurance, etc while still getting paid more than suicide-tier jobs like walmart

in any job above suicide-tier it isnt hard to come by vacation days user

>What makes you think you don't get vacation days?
I get 25/year plus 5 "emergency" days and my work week is 40 hours. I also have paid sick leave. Women get 6 months mandatory paid maternity leave, and can choose to get 3 months extra with a ~25% pay cut.
What do you get?

t. Denmark.

I'm a dev and I only get 2 weeks plus a week of personal days, which are sort of like holidays but meant to be used as one offs. Oh and 5 holidays

Here in the Netherlands software developer salaries are indeed shit.
But if you're any good you can freelance and make a lot more: 70-90 euro's per hour is fairly standard.

>opportunity for what?
Opportunity to get actual money? When you have burger flippers and janitors making the same income as a professional, it ruins any incentive to work hard.

>If you have a job, you can afford healthcare in America.
You have to go back.

>its x3 times LESS cheaper
And you get paid 4 times less. So you effectively make less real money than someone from the US

cope harder

most tech people in SF bay make 140k net and pay 2000-3000 for rent.

by having free healthcare

I'm from Canada (a semi-socialized system) and healthcare sucks there compared to the US where I live now. Wait times for operations and doctors appointments are horrible. Good luck if you ever need to see a specialist lmao

I vastly prefer the American system.

There are programmers in the US making less than 60k. Your graph is heavily skewd because of cali.

By reminding ourselves that at least we're not pajeets

Attached: pepo.jpg (550x409, 54K)

cope

Well that's literally what I said. How do your cope with your obesity and ignorance of the rest of the world though?

cope

If you're an middle to upper class American you're much more likely to be fit than a middle to upper class European

>cope
Filtered for being a shitposter.

@69734829
cope

18/year plus sick leave and my work week is also 40 hours.
>Denmark
>the average Dane pays a total amount of 45 percent in income taxes
*inhales*
>And then there's a 25% sales tax on top of that
PFFFHAHAHAHHAA
So you lose 45% of your paycheck, and then when you go to actually spend your money, you lose another 25% of what's left. So you lose more than half your paycheck to taxes, or closer to 60% if you're in a higher paying job.
Even Commiefornia isn't quite that bad.

I'll gladly trade a few less vacation days for a higher base salary and not having half my paycheck taken out for gibs.

source?

no one anywhere pays 70% taxes nigger

Commiefornia's not bad at all. Even after taxes tech makes so much money from total comp that you won't be able to beat it unless you're a retard or migrant worker.

enjoy your $200,000 bill for a broken toe, burgerman

this chart should not be in averages due to silicon valley

My net worth is at 500k 3 years after graduating college. It must suck to be a Europoor and be forced to work past the age of 30.

>I don't understand what health insurance is

>code in Murrika
>earn more than anywhere else
>still live in an RV in the Google parking lot

>america
>decent houses
*laughs in scandinavian*

All the good programmers move to the US, so I don't have to compete with them.

that made me kek on my self's

5K/y here, ask me anything.

It's most certainly pre-tax

That sounds encouraging for my future.

I believe some of your figures may be inaccurate. I recently interviewed for a mid-level developer position in the UK that would've paid 60k pounds, which is almost 80k usd

Programming isn't a good job if you're in it for the money. Count how many hours you work vs. many other professions and you will realise you have a raw deal.

I work 9:30 to 5, including half an hour for breakfast, half an hour for lunch, and a 1 hour gym break 3 days a week.

I work a normal 40 hours week. But actually 3-5 of those hours is spent at the gym. There are a few times a year where I put in extra hours but it probably more than evens out with my gym time

There are no pajeets here in the Netherlands either. Why would they come here when they can go to the USA anyway.

200k in EU is like 600k in US, so judging by this chart, Burgers are actually poor.

Please dont come here user

You're right, more like >75% after you count the taxes your employer has to pay for keeping you around, which you are effectively part of your wage.

you in the us? the fuck?
we get 10 holidays in addition to our pto hours which we can use as we please, we could use them to take an hour off every single day for as long as we have pto hours if we wanted to or use them all at once for a vacation (but vacations have to be planned in advance)

>How do european programmers cope with the fact that they will always be poor?
Have this bit of reality.

Maybe programmers are better off (or not?). I don't think it's making the overall situation pleasant.

>1 trillion credit card debt
>300 million population
>$60,000 debt per citizen, when it should be more like $3,000
Nice fake news. Either way, my savings are around half a million and I'm not even 25 yet.
