FIRST FOR RYZEN

Are there any decent dual-bay case alternatives to corsair's air540/240? I like the form factor but would prefer it in something different.

Reposting question from last thred

>1440p
>RTX 2060 is standard
OH NO NO NO NO NO

I really like computers.

for 60hz it's fine, 144hz is viable for less demanding esport games that actually benefit from higher refresh rate.

>6GB
>fine

Any strong opinions on 27" Asus VG279Q?
>27"
>1080p
>144hz
>Freesync
>IPS
Will plan on building around this with RX 590 or GTX1060 (or RTX 2060?) and a Ryzen 2600x.

Attached: unknown.png (1350x646, 228K)

Anyone?

Wait 6 more days for the GTX 1660 Ti to come out for the benchmarks.

Navi and ryzen 3000 delayed until october

It'll still work. PCIe is a standard like mobo sizes.

>1660 ti
damn that's actually a thing?

>and ryzen 3000
thought it was only navi

Lian LI O11 Dynamic?

Shit name and zero official marketing, but plenty of leaks including product pages from Russian retailers.

youtube.com/watch?v=pfnzHA3-MhM

6gb is enough for now

based luckily I'm not a waitfag

wait for zen 2 and icelake/sunny cove

source on that?

>mfw my 4gb hawaii runs siege at stable 1440p 100hz

Attached: ricardo.gif (320x240, 968K)

Amd fags can't catch a break

>Navi and ryzen 3000 releasing together
Fake source

Nah it's always the waiting game.
I was told to wait for zen, then z+ and now zen2

Because they're still not good enough, and we're trying to save you money

are these brands trustworthy?
these prices are making it very tempting

Attached: 3e0a8c033583b641d6bd2326a3c7ab0c.png (796x297, 37K)

never heard of them

t.burger

I have literally never heard of any of them

compare a 9700k at 5.1ghz+ to a 2600k and tell me if it's still not good enough

Would you change anything?
au.pcpartpicker.com/list/xpGLNQ
I'll be pairing this with a second hand 1070ti off eBay.

>copped v56 with game bundle for $300 back in sept

Attached: funnel_cake.jpg (960x912, 173K)

I have had a Inno3d GTX960 for three years now, zero problems.

Never heard of kf2 and ive seen some inno3d but never owned one.

What GPU will best work here?
Kinda iffy buying it due to low pixel count for the resolution and is apparently a VA panel instead of IPS

The [email protected] is only about a 25% increase in games compared to a [email protected], and even less of a difference for the 9700k... all for an infinitely more higher price (since the 2600k is already free to you)... it's just not worth it bro

It's up to a 40-50% increase in numerous games, and he's running his 2600k at 4.5.

Liquid cooling is a meme

1080p should be 24" and VA is just fine/great. Check reviews to make sure the response time is actually

>The [email protected]
For a normal cooler thats impossible.

Those frequencies are just from the gamers nexus benchmarks I was looking at

dammit it's hard to buy monitors here
all 24" 1080p 144hz displays here are TN
the rest is either cheap 1080p 60hz or a damn Predator 1440p 144hz IPS gsync monitor.

Don't buy those 1440p 144hz IPS panels. I got one and the QC is shit. The panel lottery just isn't worth it. LG has started manufacturing their own panels since December that are high refresh 1440p IPS. Hopefully they don't have the horrid problems those AUO panels have.

Would you sacrifice getting your card near 80C just for 5 more frames on titles that don't reach 60FPS?

I would turn down the settings

>1080p should be 24"
what's wrong with having a bigger size monitor for 1080p?

You can see the pixels.

For reference, here's the monitor. lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27GL850G-B-gaming-monitor

that's some autist in the comment section

Nothing wrong with 80C except that the fans might get loud

Which model/manufacturer should I get for the 2060?

Is $320 a good price for a used Saphire Nitro Vega 56?

rite goys, should i get a 2700x and MOBO for 350 or wait for the 3700?

Attached: daddys.cummie.wummies15479145571960371851437045796_3175351510.jpg (750x452, 34K)

get a good mobo and a 200ge and wait

holy fuck lol

I got a new 1070ti for $270 so that's a garbage deal
look for better deals.
Evga, Zotac.

Nah, it's a good price for a NEW one.

I wouldn't keep such a shitty card at all, man up and buy a 2060 or a 2080.
It's the only option. Man up if you want the best experience possible (IPS and 144hz). You can always return them.

Those LG panels are either curvedshit or 32", absolutely ridiculous
describe the issues you've faced with your panel Is it the XB271HU?

thats just stupid

Because it's AMD. They're inferior goods, no matter what.

buy it now. 3700 is gonna be a joke, besides, most applications only use 8 cores max, and if you really want 16, just turn on HT

Orange backlight bleed in two corners. It was obvious when there was a dark background. If the panel's blacks didn't look like cloudy gray and there was no bleed I would have kept it.

Welcome to JustWait™ general.

get it, good price for combo, x470 im guessing?

Why not just have SODIMMs as a standard for mini-ITX? It's not like they make any sense for high performance builds.

Why not?

Well I got my panel from a local store that I've been buying from for 10 years, they had a bunch of the monitors in stock so I just tested it right there after paying for it, so that if it had any problems they could swap me for another one. Thankfully there's no problems with mine, just the usual glow that's apparent when you test for it but utterly unnoticeable in games or movies or anything.
You planning to return it?

what was wrong with zen? 1600 was infinitely better choice than 7400 which was it's only competition at that time.

Yeah, x470 and 2700 for 350 including tax.

Already returned it. Wish I had a store near to test them, damn.

>cooling
>connectivity
>power capabilities

then buy it, zen2 is gonna suck.

It was better than intel's offering at the time but first gen had its shares of problems, especially with RAM issues, but very low and hard frequency ceiling was also a big problem because single thread still DOES matter.

Yeah, it's just how it is. I can't cope with TN or VA panels, they just don't compare.

Reminder that you can just save 1000$ each year by pirating games instead of buying them. that's a brand new mid range pc each year or high end pc every two years.

>zen2 is gonna suck.
How so? Sure it's gonna be horribly overhyped as the result of retarded fake "leaks" but it's still gonna bet an improvement over Zen+.

that's what i meant. Unless your workload needs 16 cores, (if it does turn on HT) then just buy a 2700x

Exactly. I used to buy my gaymes until the last four years or so because since then they stopped making physical editions of games or they made it so that you have to download most of it. No point in that, I liked having games on my shelf.
I just buy a few good ones like the Yakuza PC ports, they're worth it.

>tfw the 27" 1080p monitor has same ppi with my 18.5" 720p
goddamit I hate monitor shopping

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but...

I recently moved my M.2 from one slot to another. In the process, I might have put too much pressure on it. Now ibstead of recognizing the 256GB, it only sees 251MB. So it will no longer boot to the OS. I have flashed the BIOS, moved and reseated it several times, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas on what I should do?

check it with partedmagic or something

Will the 144hz IPS be a good compromise to the low pixel density though?
also wondering if a rx590 will be enough for it (either that or a 2060 in my area)

Nope. 27" 1080p is never ok.

Eh, if I had shit old PC and absolutely needed to upgrade now, I'd probably still buy a cheap, maybe even used CPU like 1600 or even 1500 and upgrade to Zen2 when it's out. It's gonna be overhyped but it'll still clock higher and be more power efficient after all.

dammit

Just get a 1440p 144hz panel like the XB271HU, it's perfect. 27", much better ppi than even a 22-23" 1080p panel and of course cards these days can easily handle 1440p so you won't have shit performance.

Yeah they have all of those, which is why I'm asking. Or are you one of those guys that just needs multiple GPUs or hoards a lot of manga locally instead of on a NAS?

I have a lian li o11 and a blower gpu (titan xp) that gets to 80c, i can mount a fan directly under the gpu to pull in cold air. Is it worth it or just going to add more noise for no gain?

Attached: 1547663998108.jpg (1024x768, 121K)

is there going to be a noticeable difference between the 2700x and the 3700x? just going to do 1080p video editing and gaming, not wanting to buy intel.

Just get a shitload of fans in your case, fill every slot with a fan. Better to do that than just get one fan.

Is the evga 2060 xc ultra worth the price?
pcpartpicker.com/product/xg66Mp/evga-geforce-rtx-2060-6-gb-xc-ultra-gaming-video-card-06g-p4-2167-kr

yes, ofcourse.

>only 10 bucks more than MSRP
Do it, nigga. I wouldn't spend too much more than the MSRP on a 2060, else you may as well have gotten a 2070.

is there going to be a noticeable difference between the 2700x and the 3700x? just going to do 1080p video editing and gaming, not wanting to buy intel.

Dude that case can fit so many fucking fans
Don't do just one, fill in all three spots. That way you can run them all at a lower speed for more airflow but less noise.
For $360 maybe but not the $380 it's at right now. And that's if you have to buy a 2060

I'm thinking about getting a dual monitor setup for watching anime and looking at architectural plans in pdf viewers -- what kind of monitor should I be looking for?
In America with a budget of ~$1600 USD but less expensive would be better -- I don't need top of the line.

I'm not sure what graphics card I have since I built this thing over ~5 years ago. I tried looking it up and it comes up AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series. Hardware Id is:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68BA&SUBSYS_31501682&REV_00
devicehunt.com/view/type/pci/vendor/1002/device/68BA
That site tells me I have a Juniper XT [Radeon HD 6770].
The backside only has three different outputs like this picture (which isn't my card). My card is only one slot so it doesn't have the vents next to it. Is it even possible for me to have two monitors with this card?

Attached: 11189-00_HD6770_1GBGDDR5_DP_HDMI_DVI_PCIE_C02_634395146018591321.jpg (1000x836, 80K)

My passively cooled GPU is getting too hot (thermal throttling), what can I do?

Actively cool it.
Retard.
