when my current pc dies, and it happens to be a good buy at the time

>TBA : CES

Is that pajeet channel ever right about anything?

When those figures hold up to scrutiny.

When there is something my I5-4690K cant run.
Nearest thing so far has been VRChat with a Vive Pro but i just increased my OC.

I hope Gigabyte updates my BIOS so I can drop a 3850X in it.

Attached: muh-Ryzen-HWiNFO.jpg (640x577, 97K)

amd really should release some sort of gayming CPU with 6C/12T and stable boost/OC to like 4.3+GHz on all cores to match current intel i5s

So a R5 1600/2600?

in order to reach 4.3 on these you have to
1) be extremely lucky and get a good chip
2) buy an expensive cooler (really fucking expensive cooler)

My 2600 gets to 4.0 stable only @ 1.36V, 4.1 is already @ 1.42 and its hot as FUCK. Some people are lucky and gets to 4.0 @ less than 1.3V, silicon lottery is real

2600X are a bit better but its way better to just buy i7-8700 for games since you can buy way cheaper cooler, cheap mobo and some shit tier 2400-2666 RAM on Intel and be just fine.

I have a 2700 non x and I'm planning on using it until it croax

WHEN THE FUCK IS RYZEN 3000 LAUNCHING

FUCK

Probably Computex

Already did 2 years ago. My fanless HTPC with a fucking octa-core r7 1700 runs rock solid uninterrupted ever since.

Bro even my 1700 is higher clocked than that, albeit slightly OCed.

another AMD victim. Jesus Christ we need to put a stop the these drones bros. They’re literally gimping builds left and right

I'm already with Ryzen.

Zen and Zen+ are on a moblie process, that is why they basically max out at 4.3.

My 1700 will be replaced with a 3700x if this proves true.

Imagine having to buy 2 CPUs in a two year span and actually bragging about it on the internet

never heard this type of cope before

Never because I have a job so I can purchase Intel Instead.

But I already have 1600X.

Good goy, keep flipping, and don't forget to ask if they want fries with that.

Attached: 1549705077831.webm (640x360, 2.94M)

what about those who bought skylake/kabylake, they got massively cucked

inb4 just wait guys

Or I need more horsepower than the 1700 provides.

>16 cores at 4.3 - 5.1Ghz
Is it May yet?

Attached: 1541328461805.jpg (768x768, 40K)

This 'leak' is a complete fabrication. The releases don't make sense. I wouldn't be surprised if Intel released this on purpose so that when it actually comes out the disappointment dents the sales.

No, and the availability is later.

This. 6c/12t for $99? Keep dreaming. The improvements will be 15% over the current chips AT BEST.

I'll embrace the PSP botnet and DDR4 gook monopoly if I can really get 16 threads at 5

Attached: 1543414140534.jpg (441x458, 30K)

OH NO NO NO NO JUST WAIT

Attached: 1524750536840.png (882x758, 316K)

When I have a use for it, desu. I only just upgraded to a E5-2680v2 and don't see myself needing anything more for a while. I was on my W3680 for fucking ages before that.

Attached: 638846273.gif (400x279, 1.78M)

nah I'm fine with haswell thank

I'm trying to decide on my upgrade path, At the moment i'm thinking of upgrading my Motherboard, CPU and RAM when the 3000 series drops, and then i can sell my current CPU, buy a 2200G and put together a little hobby/home theatre PC

Not anytime soon. I'm happy with my current fx-8350 with 32GB RAM.

this webm is very dark

I'll upgrade to whatever the last gen ryzen is that's usable with windows 7.

and people still defend the faggot who made this shit up on reddit. he even posts there himself

Jesus your 2600 is garbage.

no reason to upgrade. modern vidya runs fine on my 8350, cpu-heavy software like lightroom and premiere is acceptable too, ffmpeg won't process stuff much faster anyway, i can't think of anything else i do at home that could be cpu-heavy.

i can feel that i'm going to change this 8350 soon, but it definitely won't happen today. modern software is not really pushing those cpus

Gonna upgrade from 1700 to 3700X on release

I moved to used xeonland just so I can do multiple things at once. It gives you breadth of operation, rather than speed of operation

>cope
>when intel unironically offers overclockable 4c4t or locked 6c6t threadlets at a higher price point than r5 2600
the only one coping in here is you indiantel

Attached: 1541075857532.png (4366x2638, 3.42M)

A guy getting expectations wrong isn't some personal attack, at most you get disappointed. Just chill out, you're not losing money.

That's some really shit ram you have there.

PSP?

Attached: 1200px-Psp-1000.jpg (1199x681, 85K)

Once it's out. My 2500k is dying

Attached: Untitled2.png (632x355, 341K)

I did, ages ago.
What other AMD64 CPU would you use in 2019?

Bad CPU clock. Bad memory. Shit GPU.
How did you fuck up so bad?

When either my 2550K or my motherboard dies.

you think thats bad, look at this

Attached: 2600.jpg (1564x2148, 953K)

I want my Phenom II to last me until DDR5 comes out.

but wait, theres MORE! youtu.be/LgRXB-aj-F8?t=209

what in the FUCK did you do user? you went full retard and almost halved the performance of your CPU by cucking on RAM. nigga never go full retard

Attached: 004_1543959265100.png (552x661, 288K)

>mobile process from Samshit clocks bad
>literally only takes a sip of Watts when clocked at sweet spot around 3.3Niggahurtz
well, we will see how Zen2 will clock once it's out but AMDoredTV's leaks can't be right...everyone's gonna eat a shoe if he got it right

Out of respect for Intel I don't think AMD should make parts that outperform the 9900k. Intel has barely gotten 10nm to work and it's going to sink them if they can't add performance without bumping TDP.

Yeah this.

It can still run games in ultra 1080p at 80 fps but it is really suffering doing that. Meanwhile my Vega consumes 90 watts and isn't even spinning the fan.

Attached: 856703.jpg (272x245, 18K)

I'll probably get a 3600G, looks pretty cool.

Tell that to his paytreons

At CES 2020 you retard

INTEL 10NM SUPERPOWER 2020 CONFIRMED

Attached: 1503848584264.jpg (1000x1000, 253K)

10nm is dead forever, Intel can't do anything about it, it's dead.

As soon as 3600X releases

Already have a 2600X on an all-core 4.0ghz overclock. Might pick up a 3600X if it really has a 4.0ghz base clock and an even higher boost clock, all on 8C/16T. Not that I really even need the power though.

I got a 1700 and it fulfills all my needs. I guess I'll wait ~3 more years before upgrading. God Bless Zen

hi fellow /sandybros/
>Vega
fren, even my reference rx480 is getting bored 90% of the time, let alone a vega. that's with 2500K at 4.7GHz and 2133MHz CL9 ram.

>ComputExthisSumer

When Zen 2 is out, so Ryzen prices go down and I get the best bang for my buck

2600x vs 9700k

Half the cost for 10% lower performance.

Yeah... I think amd is fine.

If the claims about the energy efficiency are remotely true I will get a couple of 3300 and underclock/volt them to use as low energy redundant servers.

No, because of PSP. Phenom II is still good enough that it's not worth the botnet

It is a low power chip you dingus, 1.375v is base voltage and 4.0GHz is the clock wall. TSMC 7nm is HPC and is likely to have a 5.0GHz clock wall.

When the lies ends

But but amdrones told me it's super cool and requires inexpensive cooling, all while performing better than 9900k 5ghz

Meanwhile
Intel 9900k 1.1v 4.7 GHz all core
50c average

Amdrones 1.5v for awesome 4.1 ghz

what's your voltage?

>50c average
lol, sure

Are ryzen laptops worth it?

>2600x is 180
>9700k is 410
Holy shit

Currently have 8700K. Assuming I sold the 8700K and the mobo (Gigabyte Z370) and spent ONLY that money on a Ryzen and new mobo, please tell me how this would benefit me.

>When will you upgrade to ryzen?
When I live next door to a fire station where there are plenty of firemen and a couple of hydrants outside the house

Every laptop that i have ever owned that used AMD cpu was the lowest tier version of that laptop and dog slow.

>8700k
if you need moar cores like extracting files 2 seconds faster but in gaming it would be a downgrade

I'm kinda tempted to upgrade right now but I'll probably wait until the 3000 series hits. Even if it isn't anywhere near what's on that imagine it should get Ryzen prices moving down again. I'd be fine with any Ryzen 5 for cheap because I'm still on an
FX-4130
It's a workstation. Doing builds in Visual Studio, running VMs to test server configurations, etc.

>ryzen
>hot
I think you're in the wrong universe, user.

my 2700x at 4.1 is hot as fuck, IT'S FUCKING HOT. and thats with 1.38v. 80c in multiple cinebench runs.

My next build will have a Zen 2 8c/16t. Currently using a 6700k so it should be a nice upgrade.

huh, my 1700 at 3.8 (its base being 3.0) used to hit a max of 68°. Also, aren't the 9900ks running even hotter than 80°?

what cooler and paste are you using?

I have a 2600x. It took me an hour to render a single frame in blender on a project I was working on. CPU pegged to 100%. Trying to learn animating in Unreal Engine 4 and it's ... yeah, it takes a bit of horsepower there, too.

NH-D15 with MX4, i seated it twice with the same results.

I have a 9900k to at 4.95ghz with 1.32v. 77c is about the hottest i let it get during test runs.

>NH-D15 with MX4, i seated it twice with the same results.
wow no clue what's wrong

The temps and volts just go up exponentially after about 4ghz. it's nice and cool at 4

I already have an R7-1700X that even at stock, it performs s amazingly well. And this is even with 2400MHz CL14 RAM. (Was an early ddr4 adopter). I'll be getting the 3850X or whatever their 12c24t AM4 chip is. If no such thing exists, I'll get their fastest 8c16t on a brand new X570 board. Probably sell my 1700X, Asus Crosshair VI X370 board, and 32GB of RAM for like $350 as a bundle.

What will be the gpu equivalent of the Ryzen 5 3600G? a 1050ti? The most recent game I play is civ6 but I intend to get a 1440p monitor.
>t. currently on a 22" 16:10 1050p monitor
