Verizon requires band 13. That's not something chink phones commonly have. Even if you have band 2 and 4 it still needs 13. You can find Chinese phones that support it though.

There is. The phone comes with one in the box, there's just an opening on the bottom and top iirc so that the sliding mechanism can still function. It's made of hard plastic though and some people have said it feels cheaper as opposed to the case that came with the 2S.
