Only the smartest can complete cyber security

Why are people going into Infosec without a billion years of C/ASM/Reverse Engineering experience? Seems like a pretty bad decision.

I need to pick some sort of profession that I can work towards so my life has a direction.

I've thought about cybersecurity, graphics, AI, embedded. The first 2 I've had interested in and experience but still I don't know if I should commit to them fully, are they good picks for the future?

The only thing I know for sure is that I don't want to write business software for [insert big corporation] if that makes any sense

sorry for this reddit-tier post but I'm so lost
