never gonna make it

your IDE

If your IDE is anything other than vim or emacs with some scripts, you're retarded.

vim with some scripts

>If your IDE is anything other than vim or emacs with some scripts, you're retarded.
heh and autism is something to celebrate, innit? people can use whatever they want.

Attached: images (12).jpg (878x349, 30K)

And most of those people are retards, yes.

if your IDE is either vim or emacs, you're not programming, senpai.

Name a single thing vim/emacs can't do that a """tradtitional""" IDE can.
The only time it's better outside of them is when you're a literal poo in loo working on gigantic Java/C# codebases.

It's been Visual Studio Code for me lately

Attached: file.png (1248x1116, 114K)

You are a mistake of a human being.

A custom Text Editor Based on acme

ide doesn't make the programmer, m8. not because others are different means they are wrong.

No but it's a tremendous indication of their competence. Which is a great indication of their retardation. Of which you are in that group, presumably.

Nobody uses vim or emacs in a professional environment you absolutely massive dumb faggot. I dont give a fuck what you use in your gay i3 tranny anime machine in your mums basement.

Attached: 1549608703582-g.jpg (240x196, 10K)

Same. It's clean, easy, and the git integration is nice.

Unironically Kate

kate was mine for a long time, it's very comfy

I do.
No need to use IDE if you don't use such a poo language which requires a hazmat suit and a hose to get some work done with it
> public static void (You)

Sure thing. Keep telling yourself that. I'm sure you work on very important projects in your little vim setup with an anime girl in the corner of your screen winking at you.

Attached: gümp.png (1920x1080, 182K)

I'm probably retarded, I'll give you that. I usually don't use ides because the whole idea is too fussy for me. Just give me a plain old featureless text editor with a white background, must be all those years of using notepad (no ++) to program.

Me and my entire team use vim/emacs exclusively except for one guy who uses atom
take a while guess at who makes the most worthless commits every day?

If you're serious, you're just as stupid.
If you're being sarcastic, you're exactly as stupid as I told you.

>windows theme on linux
cringe

I think I'm gonna be sick

I tried ot use it, but I can't find a good dark theme, and the configuration for c++ is just a pain.

Attached: 1521259552314.jpg (690x460, 62K)

themes are gay anyway, just pick one and move on with your life

Only fucking mongs who can't code use IDEs. Git good and use vim fag

>not using ed
It's like you love bloat

I use Emacs, some of our guys use vim.
Not many of us, that's true enough

What font?

Whoa sick color scheme.
What font is that?

Terminus, correct me if I'm wrong

You can run the code from notepad.exe itself. Thus it doesn't count.

I bet he is just a newbie, be kind to him

Tbh i just enjoy pulling the leg of ideniggers. It's mostly down to preferences eventually

I do. The SQL Ide, Shell script tools, etc makes it a fucking godsend. Not to mention TRAMP mode.

vim with ale and deoplete, guess it's almost like an IDE with these plugins

It also checks if GNU/ or GNU + has already been prepended. It does not (yet) check if the word "kernel" is used, in which case it should not prepend GNU to linux.

Powershell ISE is fucking COMFY.

Sublime text have a good support for RST.

never seen this before

nice

It makes very easy do document python programs.

>Being this retarded
Indeed user, vim and emacs are definitely the only good options to get jobs.

Unironically, people who use IDEs have jobs since they don't have time to configure an editor. Oh shit, who would've thought that retarded people could have jobs, I guess autism is the only issue here.

vim with nerdtree and lightline-bufferline
neat

Attached: IDE.png (2062x1914, 538K)

what is org-mode

What are you guys even doing...

Attached: 2019-02-12-151343_658x713_scrot.png (658x713, 12K)

I bet other programs you make in it aren't a lot more complicated than this one.

Me too.
Contrary to the Jow Forums autismo train, it's good

>calls someone a brainlet
>uses Go

I mostly prototype in jupyter notebooks and then finalize in VSCode. It's the comfiest way to do data analysis and ML.

This theme is offensively bright

>makes vim and emacs obsolete
Nothing personnel kid

Like I said
>It's mostly down to preferences
I just like winding up people who get offended when you tell them IDEs are for niggers, children and women, but I repeat myself

who wanked in your muesli today?

My IDE is a piece of papaer, because I design the shit you codemonkeys write

Based

How are you supposed to navigate through a project easily, switch between files and things like that with a basic editor like Vim?

Lots of adderall and no life.

vim + tmux is all you need.

protip: tabs are shit in vim, use buffers.
github.com/junegunn/fzf.vim
My binds:

Fluid movement with fuzzy searching.

Plebs are thrown off by vim's steep learning curve and setting up a decent vimrc.
Take the time to learn it mouth breathers

btw Exuberate Ctags and YouCompleteMe

I don't like Vim, I much prefer Vis. My main problem is that I use Colemak instead of QWERTY, which means I can't use Vim, and I have to remap everything and then I get annoyed because Vim movement keys hjkl don't align with jkl; which is the default state of your hand. And remapping them means all the commands have to change position, so I can't use i for insert or a for append or even the : for commands because that suddenly changes the positioning.

notepad++

c++ with coderunner just werks for me

Atom Beta

Yes, I like to suffer. But with the right packages installed it's /comfy/

Attached: file.png (2464x2278, 811K)

Okay.

Attached: 2019-02-13.png (1920x1080, 421K)

Do like the blocked file preview on the right, would love to have that in vs code

Theme?

For me, it's Emacs

Theme?

> My main problem is that I use Colemak instead of QWERTY
I wouldn't recommend using something else than QWERTY, but there's solutions out there if you want to use it with vim.
github.com/jooize/vim-colemak

Not being in QWERTY makes you lose the ease of learning Vim with its mnemonics letter bindings.
e.i. b(ack), f(ind), n(ext), p(rievous), a(ppend), i(nsert), c(hange) ....

The majority of the bindings are intuitive and allow you to build upon it with other bindings you don't know.

e.g. d(elete)i(inside)w(ord)
Where your cursor is | :
Lorum ip|sum
Would delete ipsum.

You can apply that to c(hange)i(nside)w(ord), y(ank)iw, etc.

w(ord) can be replaced with paragraphs ( {, } ), f(ind)s,
i(nside) can be replaced with a(ll), s(surrounding)

> Vim movement keys hjkl don't align with jkl;
My resting position is jkl; as well, you have to realize that most of your movement with those are up and down, j and k, which is where you're hand is resting.

I rarely use h or l, when moving left to right. e.i. 0, b, B, F, w, W, e, E, etc.

ed or ex is the only right choice
