>implying systemd is bad
I bet op doesn't even know what systemd is

if systemd had different names for all its services ie not naming everything *ctrl, people wouldn't hate on it

can someone explain why systemd is so bad and what's a better alternative?
I can't be bothered to watch some obscure 1hour lecture of some red eyed fuck on youtube on the subject

Why can't you just try things for yourself and form your own opinion?

systemd is bad because its an open sourced project that is being developed too fast. Because of this rapid growth, some believe the CIA is placing back doors. Not to mention the project has more lines than the Linux kernel itself. Others, just hate Lennart Poettering.

>too fast
how fast is too fast?

youtube.com/watch?v=o_AIw9bGogo
tl;dr it's not, pottering just triggers autists

>yes-to-all kernel
>"minimalist distro"
>no installer
>inb4 haha noob retard mys you don't need an installer
I don't need an installer. Arch needs an installer.
>muh systemd is bad
Yes, systemd in arch is bad
On usable distros, it works.

Arch is probably the worst distro. Only use cases for arch are fat neckbeards that consider them hackers and lunix experts because "muh cli arch doesn't even have an installer but I managed to installed noob look at my i3 rice".

Nice sour grapes, brainlet

>I don't need an installer. Arch needs an installer.
Use Antergos, its literally just an Arch Installer with some branding.

when it's so fast you can't properly review the source code, and it is rapidly consuming other applications without any community consensus regarding if it should actually be replacing those applications

yes, i too prefer projects that are just fast enough

I said Arch needs an installer.

Setting init systems aside - pacman is good however the developer ecosystem is a disorganized clusterfuck. It's just a free-for-all of borderline shovelware and half baked package updates.

Nice counter-argument, retard.
This proves you have nothing to say.

Sour grapes indeed. Why are you so mad?

I'm not going to explain what sour grapes mean to you, go help yourself for once in your life.

>disorganized
Arch is proof that anarchy works

>ITT: people that only use a computer as a web browsing machine arguing that systemd is actually good

please don't forget to mark this thread as solved.

Need to refill my arch meme directory. Arch memes appreciated.

yes i too love it when my system breaks randomly upon every update. You're right OP, my time IS valueless, just like yours.

archlets don't care about FOSS.
