Why Kingston USB sticks are so great?

First an salamander had swallowed Kingston USB stick somehow. Soon afterwards a bird ate the salamander. Then a sea-leopard ate the bird.

These strange circumstances were unearthed when sea-leopard excrement connoisseur had his hands hit on something hard while investigating a pile of droppings.

IT WAS A KINGSTON USB STICK.

It smelled bad but was cleaned with an cloth and plugged in to a laptop. It worked and all files were uncorrupted.

Now if only their USB """3.0""" thumb drives weren't slower than USB 2.0

perkeleen vittupää

I have that exact one. It's the only USB I've ever used that gets hot, too hot to touch even.

Most drives are really durable and could handle that kind of stuff.
Kingston drives though have horrible speeds.

>64gb
heh, cute.

I got some because they were cheap and looked nice but they got hot really quickly AND THEN THEY ALL FUCKING DIED

if you fill up entire USB stick in one go, it will fry up because it cannot sustain the transfers for several minutes

HOWEVER reading from the drive will not destroy it, only writing will

The old 2.0 DT steel shell looked better than the new 3.0.

The USB 2.0 had the superior flat look. I don't even know what this new style is. A notch?

I have the 32g version but it died :(

What's the write speed on this thing? My DT SE9 is unbearably slow and I'm looking for a replacement

Ooof, you can make tea with those fucking usb drives. Just plop one in some water with a tea bag and you're disco.

Even reading causes the fucking thing to heat up like a nail through an eyeball.

>tfw you realize the name was originally supposed to be KingStone but due to paperwork error the e was left out and it became Kingston

>Portable flash memory with no cute shark on it
GTFO plebs

no no no, the reason it became kingston is msdos filename limit of 8 letters + 3 letter file type identifier

(the 3 letter identifier is still in use 30 years later, for example .exe, .zip.. for some reason we lack the imagination of using modern identfiers like .3DMODELLEREXTENSIONFILEFORAUTODESKINVENTOR which is pretty self explanatory)

I thought they were just reggae fans.

So wait, is the Kingston logo guy NOT supposed to be a funky rastaman?

>metal usbs

bad idea unless you wanna burn yourself

KANGston storage

I can sure you this is a hot garbage

based and redpilled

This is more a problem with shit USB3 controllers that get hot than the disk-on-keys themselves.
USB didnt have this problem

why does everyone hate 2.0 usb flash drives? are you really that impatient?

it's the read speed that matters, not the write speed
especially if you plan on using it to keep files you will never delete

>USB
USB 2.0*

ive once had a promo usb stick
it got so hot i pulled off the plastic cover when unpluggging

why did you post the deformed one
I got this one in a 2 pack, they're brilliant

if 3-6 characters isn't self explanatory enough for you, then you shouldn't be using computers

Had this (or one of the same design) on my keys for many years now. It has been a rough life for it but it has never failed me.

Yes we should have extensions such as:
.ExecutableApplication .DynamicallyLinkedLibrary .PortableNetworkGraphic

This man is a computing genius and deserves a Nobel peace award.

I had many Kingston USB sticks fail on me but I never had SanDisk fail

It'a Moai head.

I thought they were based in Kingston upon Thames, England

>device with NAND flash
>Kingston
