Finally managed to do something with C after learning it for a month (create a VERY basic CLI calculator). Feelsgoodman.

I've been meaning to learn Verilog too. It's hard to find resources for though, especially small programs that will run on my FPGA.

CS grad here
recently got into a uni project, leaded by an team of enginners. god it fucking sucks to make reports and follow around tech illitarates, fuckers don't know how to use a simple database

What software do you use for FPGA development?

Being a HW-description language, I think Verilog is very specific. There is also VHDL.

We used Xilinx ISE at school.

My FPGA uses the IceStorm toolchain, so arachne-pnr/tinyprog/apio/IceStudio.

I don't have much to say to contribute but I'm bumping this nice thread regardless.
