>Firefox 64 can now optionally use native KDE open/save dialogs. This is a bleeding-edge functionality that is not yet included in distributions. However, it can be enabled by installing thexdg-desktop-portalandxdg-desktop-portal-kdepackages and settingGTK_USE_PORTAL=1in Firefox's .desktop file.
>Integration modulesxdg-desktop-portal-kdeandplasma-integrationnow support the Settings portal. This allows sandboxed Flatpak and Snap applications to respect your Plasma configuration — including fonts, icons, widget themes, and color schemes — without requiring read permissions to the kdeglobals configuration file.
Based.

Install KDE Neon

That's good! I switched back to Windows because of the Firefox KDE issue.

It's included OpenSUSE and Manjaro

wow thats amazing
are there any more cool opensource features that you could find on windows95?

>flatpak
>snap

I'm gonna try this one later.
I recall trying to do something similar few months ago, and installing the dependencies fucked mu shit up.
Like thunar who used to open instantaneously started taking like 15s to pop up.
I just gave up and uninstall everything.

Yeah but having the functionality without needing to patch is nice too

>2019
>Firefox supports KDE dialogs now
wow, just amazing. I am sure now that this has been added, the year of the GNU/Linux desktop is sure to be 2019.

Someone's jealous

Side by side comparison?

That's a cute boy

>and Manjaro
Why do people still to this day talk about Manjaro as if it were a proper linux distribution?

This works better than the SUSE hackjob

...

Install Gentoo with KDE overlay for KDE git

GNOME is way better.

This

tablet-tier interface
javascript LMAO
second gnome shell just for gdm
single-threaded garbage everywhere
animations are not smooth
capped to 60 fps (literally hardcoded lol)
mouse stuttering, lock-ups, and general lag
very bad scaling
generally a ramhog for no good reason and runs like shit even on modern computers

Reminder that you can have thumbnails in Gnome too:

FF is behind as always.
Your mom is way better, can't say the same about Gnome.

Based and redpiled

Why are Archfags still to this day buttmad when they hear the word "Manjaro"

>inb4 LOL BABY DISTRO XD

If you use Gnome you get no thumbnails in file picker dialog lmao.

There is a patched version of the file picker that allows for that, see However it's still not ideal. It looks pretty so-so overall and there's really no finer control over it unlike KDE's file picker.

I'm just wondering. There is the "file picker meme" image. It was first filed in 2004. Why don't the devs of Gnome/GTK just fix that shit?
It is one of the reasons why I switched from Ubuntu Gnome to a distro with KDE Plasma

Sorry. Can't answer that question for you. The Gnome devs have their own way of doing things and to hell with everyone else that questions their ideas of how things should be.
