90s PC case

Did you put your modern ATX case into as old ATX case as possible? Even the first standard ATX cases will fit the mothboard but ATX power may or may not be tricky to fit in there.

Did you do it? Post resultat.

Why?

why?

why not? it should be combined wit as old as possible screen, mouse and keyboard but insides are still a computer from 2019

>keabord: IBM Model M works with adapter
>mouse: PS/2 mouses from 1996 will work with USB adapter
>screen: anything with VGA connector and support for 1024x768 at minimum will still be supported on modern GPU and BIOS and OS

800x600 RESOLUTION IS NOT SUPPORTED IN 2019

garbage cases

No airflow, it would be an oven.

modern computers can be also built from low power parts, just pick an 20W TDP CPU or something

It's impossible to find these 5.25" panels separately.

what does "resultat" mean?

CCFLs make my peepee stiff

I like your style home, I've been wanting to build into a Antec Titan 650 or Chieftec Dragon or Lian Li PC-70 with a similar layout to your case for awhile now...whats the make of that case? Love the front on it.

Wish I could find a case like this so I could not shove a fat meme radiator in it but instead have a shitton of 5.25" bays and some fans.

I began a build but then ran out of handy skills because it would've required me to cut custom fan openings and stuff.

Coolermaster Stacker 810, or old Lian Li towers, I've got both (Lian Li V2000 Plus), and scored them for. Cheap.

no. modern psus wont fit there and they have like 2 hdd slots and all hot air stays in the case because theres no holes in it like there is in modern cases.

>shove modern low power hardware in 1990 case
>1990s level performance

Just get an old XXL Tower AT case.
The screw holes for AT and ATX are the same. You just need to source a new ATX power button, and cut out the IO panel in the back where the AT keyboard hole is.

You're kidding, right?
A 12w Intel Core M3-7Y30 will run circles around anything released prior to 10 years ago, even with integrated graphics.

I want to grab an old Japanese NEC, keep the case and build a sleeper PC.
But the lack of functionality puts me off. E.g. no front USB, space taken by useless CD bay and floppy bay...

Fuck those cases. I still have scars on my arms from the razor sharp edges of the interior.

i dont know dude, my ideapad with low power incel atom runs W10 worse than my K6 did run W98
The K6 could even run games of its time and gameboy emulation
the ideapad stutters running MPV

I have a GPD Win 2.
It has a Core M3-7Y30 limited to 10W TDP.
It boots win 10 in like 8-10 seconds, and can emulate PS2, Gamecube, and Wii games.
It's only slightly larger than a 3DS XL (it barely fits in carrying cases designed for the 3DS XL)

I'm still using the same case since 2005, does that count?

The early white ATX cases aren't aesthetically pleasing to me. 486-era AT cases are the best lookig, but you can't fit modern boards in them without extensive modifications.
