IDM is the only music you can slap keys to.
Cryo Chamber mixes on Youtube.
this is great, what else are you into?
Mostly IDM-type electronic and various genres ending in -wave
Lorn, Ross from Friends, 2814, telepath, Yu-Utsu, Home to name a few as well as a bunch of synthwave artists
Can't really say they capture the same feeling Hopkins gives me though
mostly YMO and Kraftwerk.
Atmospheric metal instead of my usual death/thrash/power cycle
Absolutely based OP, I didn't expect this board to have such fine taste. I expected it to be full of death/thrash metal fucksticks and indie rock burnouts.
Patrician taste.
youtube.com
been this the past week or so
Great album, user.
IDM, Ambient.
Anime music or metal
Most of the time some rap/hip hop, sometimes some classical, rock etc, but mainly rap
>nigger music

Only the comfiest of music OP
Unironically those 10h white noise / airplane engine / rain showers
It damps the sound from those I share the room with
Do you ever listen to the enterprise engines?
What's that?
Mostly I listen to rain when I want to feel comfy. I listen to airplane cabin sound when I want to feel empty. White noise is for when they start arguing about sports team or whatever
I'm not a star trek fan so I don't specifically look for that but it's close enough to airplane cabin sound for my purpose.
shit like dark rock, NDH and various kinds of metal (melodic death, folk, industrual, power metal)
I use whatever Flow State's sent me that day. It's pretty nice: flowstate.substack.com
Otherwise it's my old playlist off Bandcamp of vaporwave.
Oh shit bro this is my peanut butter
Binaural stuff or nothing. Any type of music is distracting and bad for focus.
>I use whatever Flow State's sent me that day
do you subscribe or just listen to the free recommendations?
Nothing.
Boards of Canada - BOC Maxima is what I keep coming back to
mostly nothing, but sometimes vaporwave
If you're looking for a good adrenaline boost, there's nothing better: youtube.com
NICE! Thanks for the throwback
Vaporwave fag spotted
Pink noise to drown out my surroundings, because studies show it's effective for people with ADHD.
Any kind of music distracts me.
I don't listen to music when programming because it distracts me. I usually just focus for 8 hours.
Granted I'm learning from intro class. I don't understand how people listen to music when working its mind blogging
this is great, thank you
Clan of Xymox.
8 hours of anime music.
youtube.com
>all rise for the national youtube anthem
Checked
checked and risen
Free's fine enough. Subscription only matters if you really like to binge on the music and want access to the archives.
My own farts
wasted digits

Anime music
For the corporate programmers : )

I listen to these songs or something similar on repeat for hours on end. Puts me in a calm depression that I really enjoy. That last song in particular is depressing as fuck given the background to the song.
And for people who find music distracting: try putting one song on repeat.
IDM is Intelligent Dance Music or Industrial Dance Music
youtube.com
I require instrumental (the occasional voice sample or vocalization is okay) because I need to drown out the sounds around me. It does no good to block out the voices of my coworkers only to have my mind trying to sing along with lyrics.
Jow Forums - ADHD
Aphex Twin is quintessential programmer music.
BASED
MILK MANS MOIST HANDS
The rain sound in Clementine
>"""intelligent""" dance music
>listened to primarily by retards and basedboys
really makes you think
Programming to anything other than the prodigy is just sad
Experience and Jilted Generation are great but everything later is crap
Depeche Mode remixes
>for hours on end...
usually throw a live performance of a band i love on in the background.Listening to Bloc party right now
Ambient electronic like:
Tycho
Boards of Canada
Casino Versus Japan
Ulrich Schnauss
Or classical music.
Didnt actually like singularity that much, I liked some of his previous stuff, the wider sun is in my top 5. But I usually listen to older Tycho/BoC/ emancipator, etc
>squarepusher
TANK YOU
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO REMEMBER THAT NAME FOR DAYS
nothing, I'm dead inside and music cant fill it to program.
