Mine gives you the same IP effectively in perpetuity as long as the MAC address of the thing talking to the modem doesn't change. Even if you leave the modem and router powered down for two days and the DHCP lease is expired. If your MAC address does change then you get a new IP. Presumably they figure MAC spoofing is beyond the ability of normies who'd otherwise torrent and then change their IPs with a router reboot.
