What's the Jow Forums approved replacement for the trusty RT-N16? Everything looks like overpriced gaymershit or chink botnet.

Ubiquiti UniFi nanoHD

five-port standalone gigabit switches are like twenty burgers user

EDGEROUTER
I have 37 RT-N16's in deployment across the states for companies. As they die (only 1 so far) I replace with edgerouter + access point pro lite. I have 13 edgerouters in deployment right now much better to manage, I hope the rt-n16's die soon so I can snoop all my companies & everyones data from remote easier

>Ubiquiti UniFi nanoHD
those are the access points and the access point controller software, lol

If you use the ubiquiti os.
If you install openwrt you get routing capability. Have one currently. Ubiquiti AP AC Pro

and an atheros wifi card

Last time I checked, it was TP-Link Archer C7 with OpenWRT.

RT-AC68U w/ Merlin

I have two Asus routers 56u and 66u and the merlin firmware is pretty good. I can't imagine running any prosumer router with stock firmware. OpenWRT or some thing like Merlin is the tits.

> replacing my RT-NIG
But Why? The RT-NIG is the Niggest of the NIG. Surely you're not raycist user?

MikroTik hAP-ac

The current budget router meme is routers with the mediatek mt7621 chipset, it's a dual core 880mhz with 128-512mb RAM that you put openwrt or whatever on. You can find these for $30-40, some will even ship to you with third party firmware already on it.

I have no idea if the AC68U is really the best choice, but I have one with Merlin as well and it's been rock solid for years and handles my 1Gbps connection flawlessly. Very happy with it.

the edge router is decent but garbage when you start tossing a large number of VLANs on them, our functional cap is somewhere in the 100 VLAN range

Any hints as to where I can get one for that price? They're twice that on Ali.

y no broadom?

Try eth0 and delete everything you've done. Restart router. You can't get any I.P from your ISP, they will assign you one.
