Try disabling your GPUs through device manager then use your PC in safe mode for some time. That's CPU rendering

I honestly wouldn't even know how to do that, I tried installing Linux on my mom's old laptop once and couldn't get it to work.

I don't think it's once a week, and once every two weeks sounds wrong too. It's both often and not that often. Really depends on the week or what I'm doing. Today I download 22.7 GB of porn and it didn't happen until after all of that.
