But did you backup your life user?

I have 3 backup drives.
One 320 gig acquired in 2010.
One 500 gig from an old laptop.
One 4 TB bought last year,

All have the exact same files. Except the 4TB, that has more porn on it.

My backups are self replicating.

btw they are all stored in the same building.

Do people really more than 100gbs for backups? What you really need to backup that you can't just redownload from the internet?

if you get into /p/ stuff you'll quickly find that raw photos take up a lot of space. Video is even worse.

This is exactly me

So it's basically for data hoarders? I bet most people with terabytes of backups don't use 0,5% of that data anyways. Less is more.

>not data hoarding

How do I create a Jow Forums-approved backup system?

I just use syncthing on like 5 devices of data that is absolutely critical which I take daily snapshots of. Bigger data I keep on one raid10 device send incremental snapshots to one large external drive.

>he doesn't lowkey wish he loses everything so that he can start over

>he doesn't back that ass up

>you will never be a chunk of data that is a mirror image of another chunk of data with the purpose of preserving data integrity

why continue living

i want to be a data

NOOOO

IT CAN BE BIG LIKE DESHAWNS JUST WAIT

PLEASE DONT GO

i have a script to mirror a folder on my server and locally. While working on another script to copy certain files, i accidentally moved the entire folder. Server mirrored that, and deleted 26,000 flacs.

I have a backup, but at 6mbits/s, that's like 6 days of transferring. Feels bad

Why isn't there git-like program for file backups?

rsync?

I don't think rsync can "check out" your previous commits.

there is
git

Hundreds of hours of my camcorder videos.
