Around £50 a month. I'm lucky right now that it's that high, usually it's around 50MB, and right now I can't have any better options because of my location, which kinda sucks.

Have to go with Telstra as with other providers, they cannot keep a stable connection, or its insanely slow (less than 1mbps).
No NBN until end of 2020.
Considered 4G but too limiting with low data caps.
Have considered killing myself, yes. Too be real though. I used to put ads on gumtree to have a good connection so I could game. Would give them $10 a night.

I refuse to use aaisp until they introduce an unlimited plan. The idea of worrying about data limits on a wired home internet connection is an absurd relic of the early 2000s.

I pay £50/mo for 350mbit down and generally get more than that. You are seriously overpaying unless that includes TV etc too. Phone them and demand a better price.

10mbps
the equivalent of about 50 USD

Why does anyone even need gigabit internet? this is fast enough for me, $70 aud ($50 USD). 50mb is $80 aud (57 USD) and 100mb is 100 aud ($71 USD) these are all unlimited plans

Attached: speed.jpg (758x330, 24K)

Some more information about internet plans on Australians epic national broadband network. Before the nbn came in I was paying around the same price for 20mb down and 300gb of data.

Could upgrade it to 200Mbps paying $50 but dont really have a need for it

I enjoy having gigabit internet because I enjoy being able to download almost anything I want in less than a minute. There are exceptions (Blu-Ray movies take about 5-10 minutes to download), but there aren't many.

Speed is convenience. Why wait for something to download when you can just have it download faster? I can't wait for 10 Gbit internet to become commonplace all around the world.

Also, fiber internet is just better, especially Metro-E. The ping times on a Metro-E are ridiculous--you'll never have jitter issues like you would with cable.

What is the highest possible internet speed?

Nothing faster exists yet, that includes LAN...

I'm a Data Scientist at Google, we have a machine that runs directly on liquid internet, we rarely use it though as some queries can slow the internet down globally. It would be hard to express the actual speed as it works differently than the internet you are accustomed to, but the speed is roughly 5 yottabits per nanosecond
